Recommendations and modifications.

  • I would recommend that next time this experiment is carried out, a digital trimmeter is used. This is because it gives the exact reading and thus avoids much estimation.

  • Use of better quality instruments like a scale that measures in grams also to give the accurate weight and hence not allow errors as large as plus or minus one kilogram.

  • The experiment should also be done more than once to ensure that the results gotten are convincing and irrefutable. In this case, it would also mean having to experiment on more people which are important in giving information that can represent a whole country.

  • The experiment should also have included temperatures of the different regions in the country and ensure that a person or people from each region are experimented on. This would have given a clear picture whether people from the different regions have any differences in height and body fat possibly due to the effects of temperature. This however means taking up a lot of time energy and finances.

  • As part of the research, the culture and lifestyle of the two countries should be studied. This means there food, how they live, their technology, their health, their genetic set up. This is so as to know how each of them is responsible for their height and body fat amount. This again however, is an expensive affair in terms of time money and energy.

  • As a suggestion that could perhaps solve the issue of some people being uncomfortable having some parts of their body measured, alternative points that are equally important could be identified for measurement.
