Значение форм инфинитива и герундия

INFINITIVE

Present

выражает действие, относящееся к настоящему или будущему

I must go and see him.

Pr. Cont.

выражает действие, происходящее в данный момент

She appeared to be listening.

Perfect

выражает действие, предшествующее действию, выраженному глаголом

He claimed to have repaired the roof.

Perf. Cont.

Указывает на то, что длительное действие, выраженное инфинитивом, предшествует действие, выраженное глаголом

For the last few days she seemed to have been talking to nobody.

GERUND

Present

выражает действие, относящееся к настоящему или будущему

Stark sat without speaking.

Perfect

выражает действие, предшествующее действию, выраженному глаголом

He was proud of having passed the examination.

Повторите, пожалуйста, правила правописания, неправильные глаголы – смотри приложение таблица 4, 5. Обратите внимание на особенность перехода времен глагола в Infinitive – смотри приложение таблица 6.

Exercise 1. Раскройте скобки, употребив правильную форму Infinitive.
