Переведите предложения на русский язык.

II. Перепишите следующие предложения и переведите их, обращая внимание на особенности перевода на русский язык определений, выраженных именем существительных.

III. Перепишите следующие предложения, содержащие разные формы сравнения, и переведите их на русский язык.

IV. Перепишите и письменно переведите предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на перевод местоимений.

V. Заполните пропуски нужной формой глагола to be или to have (got). Предложения переведите.

VI. Перепишите предложения, подчеркните модальные глаголы. Переведите предложения, учитывая значения модальных глаголов.

VII. В разделе а) раскройте скобки, поставив глагол в нужное время. В каждом предложении раздела б) определите видовременную форму и залог глагола-сказуемого. Все предложения переведите на русский язык

THE PIG

1. As we already know, the pig is an omnivorous animal with a simple stomach. It requires its food in concentrated form. Pigs grow more rapidly than any other class of farm animals in relation to their weight. The daily ration of a pig should be composed of feeds with a definite proportion of carbohydrate, proteins, vitamins and minerals.

2. There are a number of pure breeds of pigs, including Black breeds. White breeds, and the Tamworths, which have a golden-red colour. Crosses commonly show the mixed colours of the pure breeds.

3. Pigs thrive in the open air under summer conditions, and they can during warm weather, convert their food into meat as economically out-of-doors as in the sty.

4. A pregnant pig is called a sow, which usually produces from 6 to 12 at a litter. The act of parturition is called farrowing. On the approach of farrowing a sow should be in good condition but not fat. Close confinement prior to farrowing is harmful. Sows suckling litters require somewhat more water. Their rations should be supplied with micro and macro elements otherwise anemia will result.

5. One should remember that the teeth of the pig do not provide conditions for very fine grinding. That’s why they do not digest the fibre of feeds well.
