НО:

Отрицание “not” употребляется в следующих случаях:

1. перед словами much, many, any, little, enough.

There are not many employees in our office.

2. при противопоставлении прилагательных.

There is not a red car in my garage but there is a black one.

3. при противопоставлении числительных или перед порядковыми числительными.

There are not ten computers in this room but there are fifteen ones.
