11.Advertising-methods technics and tips

Most advertising in ancient times was world-of-mouth that is people liked something and told others about it. But even then people advertised by putting inscriptions on walls, for example to display political slogans and to offer household goods for sale. The traditional of wall or rock painting as a way of advertising goods is even more ancient and examples can still be found in parts of Asia, Africa and South America. Printing developed in the 15th and 16th centuries and this increased the forms of advertising. Handbills-small printed notices and advertisements-became common. Then by the 17th century, advertisements started appearing in weekly newspaper in England, including classified adverts for personal goods and services. In 19th century mail order catalogues appeared promoting all kind of goods. Finally the 1960s were a key period in the development of advertising. They began to draw attention to the unique selling points, the USPs of products. There are the qualities that make a product different from competitors’ products.

Adverts are no longer purely informative and focused on the product. Many of the adverts that we see today are short stories telling inspirational tales that are often witty, humorous and sophisticated изысканный. People don’t want to remember that life can be dull. They want to see something original and creative. The adverts take away the ordinariness of everyday life and take us so somewhere exotic or romantic. An advert has to be attention-grabbing and powerful. You need a strong image that is eye-catching, a catchy slogan, a joke or something shocking. In advertising we talk about the AIDA formula. A-is attention. I-is an interest. D-is for desire. A-is for action. An ad needs to do more than get our attention .its also has to be effective and persuasive. Its must get us interested, make us want the product and motivated us to go out and buy it. Certainly PR managers should remember that logo is really important. Good logos have been built up so they are recognizable. Part of what makes a good advert is clear symbol that people immediately identify with the company. A good slogan also helps to make a connection but it’s also important that your slogan doesn’t become irritating

There are many different definitions of marketing, however I find most of them difficult and incomprehensible, that’s why I’d say that marketing came from a word market and notion marketing means everything which is linked with commerce and market trade

Let’s have a look all the pros and cons of your own business 1) Earn more money. Self-employed people generate their own income and profits.2) be your own boss. Choose your hours of work 3) Free yourself from the stresses of the conventional workplace - office politics, targets, meetings and constant demands. Disadvantages 1) It’s impossible to escape some pressure, especially the kind coming from clients and customers.2) Taking an unwise decision could dent your income 3) Working on your own means you are responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. This may mean doing tasks that you dislike.

First of all you’ll need help in certain areas-maybe with finances and tax, or perhaps with selling and marketing. Once you know the areas where you need help, you can train yourself, or bring in an employee who has the skill you need. Another way is to get advice from an expert or friend who has their own business. Second trip is all about marketing. You need to be sure that your product will sell in sufficient numbers, at a price that covers your costs. In other words, it must give you a return on your money; it’s good to make a profit. to do this you must be clear about how you price your product –for example, are you going to price it above, the same as or below your competitors then, you must also think about how you’ll promote i.e. mean, how are you going to let people know about the product, so they become aware of it? That’s important. And you know, you may have to market it in a different way to different people. That could be the key to success.

It’s also necessary to analyze market for your service and product, you should know about industry trends (what is happening in the market at the moment). Target market what sort of people would you like to sell the product, your main competitors, and the most successful companies and products of this field

The next step is comparison of your products with the competitors whether it is price or quality

Don’t forget about discounts they can be very useful in attracting customers. You should think about a supplier and how you’ll get products

It’s not necessary to run a business alone, you could involve your relative and friends to make a partnership, your target is also think about your staff and his duties. Remember about equipment also

And finally you should think up your logo, symbol and slogan

That is some advises on the way of ideal business
