Housed in specialist accommodation, the Faculty has some of the finest training in the country. The staff are of the highest calibre, combining industrial and commercial expertise with extended teaching experience in both Further and Higher Education.

The Faculty’s work covers all areas of personal and hospitality services from Food Production to Care. Full-time courses are provided at Craft, Supervisory and Management levels in Hotel Management, Catering, Beauty Therapy, Care and Hairdressing. The Faculty is also responsible for all Art tuition including the BTEC First Diploma and the Foundation Studies in Art course.

There is also a wide range of part-time, day release, block release, and leisure courses in associated subjects.

All the vocational bourses provide valuable work experience through industrial placements. Additional realistic work experience is provided in the excellent training rooms, such as Silver Service and Fast Food Restaurants, Bakery, Beauty and Hairdressing Salons, Computer Rooms, Training Kitchens, Art and Textile Studios.

The Faculty enjoys an international reputation and recruits many students from overseas. It regularly enjoys success in national competitions in Bakery, Food Preparation, Hotel Management, Hairdressing and Beauty. We are the leaders in offering the National Vocational Qualification in Catering, Hairdressing, Graphics.

We have special courses in all areas, our particular success this session with the Basic Food Handling Certificate.

They are challenging for unusually clever students, but also appreciative for less academically-gifted personalities. They teach self-discipline, but also creativity. They are exciting, and at the same time, successful in conventional terms of percentage of examination passes and university entrances. Indeed, those schools where students live, work and play together do seem to have more success in realising their objectives than any other educational institution of our times.

During the last decade, the College has increased its work to help solve specifical industrial and commercial problems, through consultancy and the development of courses to train or update the skills of personnel. The revenue generated by this has abled the College to purchase excellent equipment and we can now Confidently say that we have one of the best

Equipped training centers in the country.

The Faculty has a number of laboratories and workshops equipped with modern industry standard tools and equipment, and extended computing facilities. The laboratories and workshops cover the whole range of Electrical, Electronic, Motor Vehicle, CNC Machine Tools, Computing and Information Technology Courses.

The recently equipped Automation Laboratory provides a modern environment which integrates computers, Programmable Logic Controllers and associated automatic conveyancing and handling equipment.
