The plan of seminar.

  3. The problem of man’s being purport.

    1. life, death and immortality;

    2. sense of life: vital values and value of life;

    3. the place of freedom, necessity and will in human life.

Practical tasks:

1. Describe the basic philosophical problems of antropogenesis.

2. Is culture the reason of transformation man into a biologically inferior creature, or is it biological essence of man that is the reason of origin of culture? Prove your answer.

3. Why is labour of man directly related to thought? Give your arguments.

4. Is man only a social creature? What place has a biological factor in human essence? Ground your position.

5. How are instruments of labour and the origin of society linked?

6. Describe the basic traits of consciousness.

7. What is the role of «biological» and «social» in the origin of consciousness?

1. Why is the problem of man the central philosophical problem?

2. What do the ancient notions of the «macrocosm» and «microcosm» mean?

3. Who was the first from the philosophers of Antiquity to pay the special attention to the comprehension of the problem of man? What is the peculiarity of his approach to man?

4. Explain, please. the sense of the notions of that «spirit», «soul», and «body».

5. What methodological positions does philosophical anthropology consider man on? What is the difference between the approach of natural sciences and the philosophical one?

9.What is the anthropological value of Z. Freud’s theory?

10. What is Dostoevsky peculiar understanding of man?

11. Why were philosophical ideas of F. Dostoevsky not asked in the XIX century? Why has F. Dostoevsky become extraordinarily popular in the circles of intelligentsia of the West in the XX century?

12. How do you understand the meaning of the notions the «alarm» (G.P. Sartre), «heavy» (N. Berdyaev), «anxiety» (Heidegger)?

13. Explain the sense of the notion «existential loneliness».

14. What is the difference between social and existential loneliness? Name the types of social loneliness.
