German Classic Philosophy.

1. German Classic Philosophy as a specific stage of the development of West-European philosophy.

a) the basic principles of German Classic Philosophy: systematicness, coincidence of thinking and being, development, human activity, freedom and sovereingness;

2. I .Kant – the founder of German Classic Philosophy.

a) the basic periods in Kant’s philosophy: pre-critical, critical, anthropological;

b) Kant’s epistemology: the contradiction between “things-in-themselves” and “things-for-us”;

c) The Ethics of Kant. The concept of categorical imperative;

d) Kant’s aesthetics and anthropology.

3. Fichte and Shelling on the road to Hegel.

a) the idea of free human activity as the core of Fichte’s “Ego-doctrine”;

b) Shelling’s theory of identity as a stepping stone to objective idealism.

4. Hegel as the giant of German Classic Philosophy.

a) the basic principles of German Classic Philosophy: the principle of identity of thinking

and being, the principle of universal connection and interaction, the principle of development;

b) the development of Absolute Idea in Hegel’s theoretical system;

c) Hegel’s theory of dialectics;

d) the basic contradiction in Hegel’s philosophy.

5. Feuerbach’s anthropological materialism.

a) Feuerbach’s critics of Hegel;

b) Feuerbach’s account on religion;

c) merits and disadvantages of Feuerbach’s materialism.
