4. Different kinds of publications you usually read. How much money do you spend a month on printed media?

5. Explain your attitude to hackers. Why do people create computer viruses? What would you do to protect your pc from hacking? Has anybody ever tried to hack your e-mail/account/blog?

6. Explain your attitude to poetry. Do you like the Ukrainian or foreign poets more? Have you ever composed any poems? What were they about? What would you like to write about?

7. Mobile phone as the most exploitable gadget nowadays. What do you use it for? What do you think you will use it for in future? We live in the time when we are surrounded by various devices. Many people can’t imagine their lives without using a mobile phone. I can say that I’m not an exception too J Maybe 10 years ago they were not so popular. My parents even say that they didn’t have phones and their life was very interesting. But I can’t understand them. Nowadays mobile phones play a vital role in our life, I think so.

Many children (even 1st form) ask their parents to buy them mobile devices, saying that everybody in their classes has mobile phones.

As for me, I have … (марка телефона). It’s not iPhone 6, but I’m proud of my mobile device. I listen to music, watch videos, and communicate with my friends with the help of mobile. I’m sure it’s difficult to find a pupil who can live without chatting in vkontakte, facebook, viber or posting photos in instagram. I like to make photos (I photo everything I see: delicious food, beautiful nature, unusual thinks; I like to make selfie). I like to speak with my boyfriend (girlfriend) for hours (especially at night).

If I forget my phone at home, I feel nervous all day long. I understand that it is not normal, but I can’t do anything with this.

8. Modern gadgets. Name the ones you use always/often/usually/rarely. Describe the gadget you would invent and how it would work?

Every house today is full of smart appliances, such washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, microwave, stereo system, etc. These objects have drastically changed people’s lives. They made it easier to cope with household chores. It seems that new technologies govern the lives of all people on planet. It’s simply impossible to imagine modern life without labor-saving gadgets  A couple of decades ago people had no idea what smartphones or iPhones are, while today nearly everyone has one. It is undoubtedly the best communication and entertainment device. People can connect with each other everywhere they go through social network, text messaging, low-cost calls, chats rooms, etc. It is hard to stay even a day without such handy gadgets. Рeople have become too dependent on these gadgets. They get stressed or unconfident when they forget a mobile phone or tablet at home. In my opinion, gadgets produce addiction, which is bad for people’s mind. Nevertheless, it is hard to underestimate the role of new technologies in our life.

9. Nanotechnology: present and future. When was it invented? What are the positive and negative predictions about it?

Nanotechnology is a field of applied sciences and technologies involving the control of matter on the atomic and molecular scale, normally below 100 nanometers. Nanomaterials may exhibit different physical and chemical properties compared with the same substances at normal scale, such as increased chemical reactivity due to greater surface area.

Nanotechnologies enable the management of food ingredients on a molecular level. Nanotechnology products could have a substantial impact on the food and feed sector in the future, potentially offering benefits for industry and the consumer, although possible risks need to be considered. Companies and institutes worldwide are currently researching and developing applications in fields such as the treatment of the mechanical and sensorial properties of food – for instance to achieve changed taste or texture – and modified nutritional value. Nanotechnology may also be used in food packaging, for instance to ensure better protection or to detect how fresh food is. The specific properties and characteristics of nanomaterials need to be considered for any potential health risks.
