8.10.5Adding the Position Fader and Changing its Range

1.To add the Fader to the Selector, on Mac OS® X [Ctrl]+click, on Windows® rightclick on the Pos Input of the Selector and choose the Create Control menu entry.

2.We need to change the range of the Fader by bringing up its Properties. Do this by double-clicking on the Fader in the Structure.

3.Go to the Function page of the Fader Properties by pressing the Function button.

4.Now change the Max edit field to 2.

The Position Fader will now sweep between the values of 0, 1, and 2. As a result, it will sweep between the 3 Filter Outputs.

8.10.6Final connections and Panel Appearance

Finally we need to connect the Selector to the 2 Audio Voice Combiners.

▪Again click and hold, and drag the wire towards the Inputs of the Audio Voice Combiners.

After making both connection and moving the Selector, the Structure looks like this:

▪Finally we need to unlock the Instrument Panel to move the Fader, by clicking on the Panel Lock button and dragging the Pos Fader to the right.

▪ Lock the Panel by pressing the Panel Lock button again.

8.10.7Explore Your Sampler and Make Some Snapshots

1.Make some changes to the settings of your DIY Sampler and save them as Snapshots.

2.Remember, we press the Snapshot tab and use the Append button to store our Snapshot.

As you know, you must save your Ensemble again to save your new Snapshots. You can again use the Save Ensemble command or if you decided you want to keep an earlier ver­ sion of the Sampler, maybe one without the Selector, then use the Save Ensemble As… command and type in an amended name.
