Ex.1. State the structural types of attributes in the following sentences. Say what the attributes are expressed by.
All the people present were deeply shocked by the nature of the crime the defendant was charged with.
Everything imaginable was done for the capture of the fugitives.
Samuel Chealy, the then President of the firm, was definitely against the dubious deal.
Is there any purpose in trying to bypass this problem?
I doubt whether Major Bell will approve of the plan, so casually outlined.
The second plane, a huge Boeing, was about to touch the runway.

Ex.2. Translate into Russian.

Ex.3. Pick the appropriate variant:

The Adverbial Modifier.
Ex.5. Point out adverbial modifiers it the following sentences. State their structural and semantic types.
1. Mary descended the slope very easily. 2. The people in the bus remained silent till the end of the ride. 3. It spite of their lively talk each of them had something in reserve. 4. The fire that was merrily burning in the grate attracted the newcomers as a magnet. 5. But for sheer coincidence, you would hardly be likely to run into him in this busy place. 6. Caroline, not knowing what to say, looked at her companion. 7. The village is large enough to organize a drama society for the young folk. 8. Despite his easy smile, the man was incredibly difficult to deal with. 9. In case of any emergency, press the knob on your right. 10. He lives not far from the railway station. 11.
