19. Treat the earth well..... "we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children"

"We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children" is an ancient Indian proverb. Its pure simplicity is quite piercing because it shows the effect of our ancestors’ actions on our current situation and it also serves as a warning on our current actions’ impact on our children.

 I’m going to speak about the problems of the environment which the world is facing at the moment and what we should do to protect our Earth. Nowadays, environmental problems are the most burning for the society. Air, water, land and nuclear pollution badly damage the nature. People cut down trees and destroy the habitat of thousands of animals. As a result, many species are in danger of extinction. Factories pollute our rivers and lakes with dangerous chemicals. The increasing number of cars in towns and cities has led to the growth of harmful gases in the atmosphere. There is much litter everywhere, our parks and forests are full of rubbish. Scientists believe that the problem of global warming is becoming more and more serious. The results of human activity such as acid rains, greenhouse effect and ozone layer destruction cause the changes of the climate on our planet and destroy it. All these facts have a bad influence on our health. More and more people suffer from allergies and breathing problems. It’s almost impossible to find a healthy person nowadays. People are becoming more and more aware that our planet is under threat and it’s all our fault. Fortunately, it’s not too late to solve these problems. We have time, money and the technologies to take care of our planet. There are a number of simple things we can do if we want to help our planet. For example, if we stop wasting paper and start recycling it, we’ll save some of the millions of trees which are cut down every year. We should also stop making unnecessary car journeys, to cut down trees, air pollution. Governments can improve public transport so that people could use it more often. They can also pass laws to stop companies from destroying rainforests. We can create parks for endangered species of animals. People should use natural resources in a rational way and look for alternative sources of energy such as wind and solar energy.  But the most important thing we must do is to open our eyes and act immediately. . Solutions are like people, each one is complex as well as different.  Most every part time environmentalist can have a solution to any environmental problem that has this planet.  That is not to say that they are always right.  Conversely, they are not always wrong either.  Having the solution is the first part, making the solution a reality is the second.  The Earth is our home and we should protect and save it for ourselves and for the future generations.

20. A house is made of walls and beams. A home is built with love and dreams.

That people could come into the world in a place they could not at first even name and had never known before; and that out of a nameless and unknown place they could grow and move around in it until its name they knew and called with love, and call it HOME. One of America's most quoted writers William Arthur Ward said: «A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams».   And I fully agree with this opinion. My home is my castle. We all know this phrase from our childhood. In actual fact, we, all human beings have a universal desire to love and to be loved. What a blessing it is to have a loving and peaceful home! Somebody says that the house is the state of mind or that it’s a place where your heart is.  Every house like a person has its own face and soul. I agree that there is nothing so pleasant as coming home again.  Different people have different priorities of finding homes some want a school near their place for the convenience of the kids, some wants basic amenities at their disposal or some prefers the best and approachable public transport. Probably, a lot of people think about their houses, where they want to live happily, have a big, lovely family, where they want to feel comfortable.   And I realize that in the near future I’ll have to worry about my future home. Out of hand my imagination draw the picture of luxurious cottage at the side of the sea with swimming-pull, beautiful garden, expensive furniture. Such houses cost the earth! I close my eyes and find myself in this fairy-tale.   A lot of people want their house to be out of the ordinary, be adequate for modern needs, someone desires their houses don’t look behind the times, not to be cut and dry. Tastes are different. As for me, for the time being I haven’t got the slightest idea about my future house. But I cherish the dream that warmth and comfort will reign in my house.... Remember “Home is not where you live, but where they understand you”.
