  1. Education is a private matter between the person and the world of knowledge; school or college has little to do with it”.

I do not agree with this quotation. I think that schools and colleges help us to find the direction of our interests, with education and future job.

What would you do if you were not allowed to get an education? You couldn’t read or write. You had to work a minimum wage job at a factory and you weren’t happy with the job. You cannot teach your kid any skills because you didn’t learn anything. The biggest part of growing up is making the right choices that benefit you in the future. The idea is to get an education so you can choose a career, have hope, and reach your goals and dreams. That is why you need something or someone who can help you and support.

Education is the thing which is not only necessary to get the job. But it is also important to produce the gentlemen for the societies, to understand the Religions, understand the humanity, understand how to live life in different circumstances. Education gives light to your dark paths in the way of your Life paths. When you look at the education financial benefits these are endless. You can earn as much as you can using your skills.

As a school becomes our second home, it teaches us a lot! Education is something that is taught from teachers and books. But knowledge is something that you have to gain on your own. And you can be the most educated person out there and still not have the knowledge to use that education. That is why teachers are important because they explain it us, explain how to obtain the education using our knowledge.

Education, we see, is not merely gaining knowledge or skills helpful toward productive work, though certainly that is a part of it. Rather it is a replenishment and an expansion of the natural thirst of the mind and soul. Learning is a gradual process of growth, each step building upon the other. It is a process whereby the learner organizes and integrates not only facts but attitudes and values. The Lord has told us that we must open our minds and our hearts to learn. And what can help us in it? - Schools! There is a Chinese proverb: Wisdom is as the moon rises, perceptible not in progress but in result.

In conclusion, I think that a school is important and valuable because without it, the world would function more poorly. I choose to get an education because I want happiness, a future, financial security and knowledge. Don’t let anybody tell you that a school or college isn’t important to your future. Because in my life the school played a great role!

Education should be the lifelong process by which humans grow in their abilities, usually aided by the input of others.

  1. Do you agree that to get rich, you should never risk your health, for it’s the truth that health is the wealth of wealth?

When I was in school, one of my teachers read us the quote “So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health”. I frequently remind myself of this adage and truly believe that the secret to real success is to find balance in your life, by taking care of your body, mind, and spirit above all else.

Living in today‘s modern society, we as people seem to stress the importance of having the material things that various television commercials put so much emphasis and claim that they are the main source of happiness. We tend to think that a new tv, a computer, phone or more money can bring us true joy, and can make us very pleased with our life. The truth is – you can ask any patient who has a serious case of cancer, or a person with a disease that cannot be cured, what is the most important thing in life? I would like to think that each and every one of these people would answer similarly – Health. Health is something that you can‘t simply regain once you lose it, you can‘t just become as good as new if you have problems, money can‘t give you that luxury. Health is something more valuable than anything money can buy.

Your own wellbeing is priceless, it is something invaluable. Having a strong heart pumping blood through your veins overwhelms a big paycheck, having healthy lungs which help you breathe air, is more valuable than having a new computer, having everything in check with your body beats having lots of material things. As John Billings says “Health is like money, we never have a true idea of its value until we lose it.” Many people forget the value of health, and only come to realization when they lose it. These people sometimes put their jobs above everything, they do so by overworking, having a terrible diet, choosing to work late instead of going to sleep early. What I am trying to state is that some people don’t understand the value of health and don’t know precious it really is, instead they lose their health by trying to gain wealth.

To conclude I would like to mention that many people still don’t understand the true virtue of being healthy and in shape, they rather would sacrifice their precious wellbeing in order to gain material things which unlike health can be easily acquired or you can buy something new if you lose them. My opinion is simple – I truly believe health is the wealth of wealth!

He who enjoys good health is rich, though he knows it not!

  1. Compare the system of education in Ukraine and Great Britain. Analyze new Ukrainian educational laws and the state policy.

Education in Britain developed by steps. Education in Britain is compulsory and free for all children between the ages of 5-16. About 93 % of all children are educated in state schools and the rest attend private schools. There are over 2500 private schools in GB Most private schools are single-sex until the age of 16. The most expansive schools in Britain - public schools like Eton college for boys and St. James school for girls.

Primary education takes place in infant schools (5 to 7 years old) and junior schools (from 8 to 11 years). Some areas have different systems in which middle schools replace junior schools and take pupils ages from 9 to 11 years Schoolchildren attend a primary school for 6 years (5 to 11 years). When students transfer to Secondary School at the age of 11, they do not take any examination, but their reports are sent on from the Primary School. Most children – over 80% – go to a comprehensive school. “Comprehensive” means all-inclusive. They admit pupils of all abilities. Pupils in all state in schools in England and Wales study 10 main subjects, among them: English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Art, Music, Physical Education, Information Technology. Religious education is also taught. Attainment tests are given at the ages of 7, 11 and 14. At the age of 16 students sit the exams in as many subjects as possible. Weak students may only sit for three or four subjects. Better students take ten subjects. At the age of 16 about two thirds of these pupils leave school and get jobs. About one-third stay on at school until the age of 18, preparing themselves for higher education. More ambitious pupils continue to study in the 6th form. They stay on at school for one or two years to prepare themselves for university.

Universities and Colleges in Great Britain. There are over 90 universities in GB. They are divided into three types the old universities Oxford, Cambridge and Edinburgh Universities, in the 19th century universities, such as London and Manchester universities, and the new universities. Today higher education students in Britain is around 30%. There are some 90 universities, which enjoy academic freedom. Every University is responsible to its governing body. The regulations differ from University to University. Most degree courses at universities last 3 years, language courses 4 years including year spent aboard. Medicine and dentistry courses are longer 5-7 years.

Educational System in Ukraine. Education in Ukraine is compulsory up to the 9th form. The stages of compulsory schooling in Ukraine are primary education for ages 6-7 to 9-10 inclusive and senior school for ages 10-11 to 14-15. If a pupil of secondary school wishes to go on in higher education, he or she must stay at school for two more years. Primary and secondary school together comprise 11 years of study. After finishing the 9th form one can go on to a vocational school which offer programmes of academic subjects and a programme of training in a technical field, or a profession. After finishing the 11th form of a secondary school, a lyceum or a gymnasium one can go into higher education. All applicants must take competitive exam.

Higher education institution, offer a 5-years programme of academic subjects (later they can receive a candidates degree or a doctoral degree). Higher educational establishments are headed by Rectors. A university has a number of faculties.

All secondary schools, institutes and universities until recently have been funded by the state. Now there is quite a number of private fee-paying primary and secondary schools, some universities have fee-paying departments.

The new law is The External Independent Testing - is an examination for school leavers wishing to study in higher educational establishments that is both graduating and entrance one.

External independent testing after the final state examination can be in the following subjects: Ukrainian language and literature, history of Ukraine,  mathematics,  biology,  physics, chemistry, geography, and one foreign language (of the pupil's choice) in either English, German, French, or Spanish. The results of the testing will have the same status as entrance examinations to institutions of higher education.

  1. Make a comparative analysis of the court system and the trial procedure in the USA and Ukraine.

The Court system of Ukraine The common courts of Ukraine try civil and criminal cases and cases about the administrative violations. There are three different procedures established separately for each type of the case: ----the Code of Civil Procedures of Ukraine, is used first of all to try disputes between natural persons and claims filed by natural persons against Ukrainian corporate entities arising mainly from civil and delictual relations. The civil procedure is also used to try disputes related to various family relations in Ukraine.

---the Code of Criminal Procedures of Ukraine deals with the most serious violations of law (violations, national security, etc.).

---the Code about Administrative Violations in Ukraine. For Ukraine an administrative violation means a minor offence, which is similar to a crime, but less serious.

The common courts or "civil courts" because these courts used to try disputes between natural persons, i.e. the biggest number of disputes because the disputes are between Ukrainian citizens, which number reaches about 48'000'000 persons. The local common courts have territorial jurisdiction over the smallest administrative units. Common courts of appeal have territorial jurisdiction over a region of Ukraine (Kiev city and Sevastopol city- the large number of citizens). Decisions issued by the common courts of appeal can be appealed to the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

The Court system of the USA

The Federal Court System Of the two systems, the federal is less complicated. The federal judiciary is divided into three main levels, like a pyramid. At the bottom of the pyramid are the district courts, where litigation begins and which have original jurisdiction in most cases. Made up of 92 districts, the federal district court system has at least one bench in each of the 50 states. There are from 1 to20 judges in each district and district court judges are appointed by the President and serve for life.

In the middle are the courts of appeals. This court system is composed of 11 judicial circuits throughout the 50 states plus one in the District of Columbia. There are from 6 to 27 judges in each circuit.

At the top is the US Supreme Court. To appeal means to take a case to a higher court. The court of appeal and the Supreme Court are appellate courts, with few exceptions; they review cases that have been decided in lower courts. Most federal courts hear and decide a wide array of cases. It is composed of one chief justice and eight associate justices. The Supreme Court sits in Washington. This court may review decisions made by the U.S. courts of appeals.

State Court Systems

The system of state courts is quite diverse; virtually no two states have identical judiciaries. In general, however, the states, like the federal government, have a hierarchically organized system of general courts along with a group of special courts. The lowest level of state courts are inferior courts, may include any of the following: magistrate court, municipal court, justice of the peace court, police court, traffic court, and county court. Such tribunals, often quite informal, handle only minor civil and criminal cases. More serious offenses are heard in superior court, also known as state district court. The superior courts hear appeals from the inferior courts and have original jurisdiction over major civil suits and serious crimes.

The highest state court, state court of appeals, or state supreme court, generally hears appeals from the state superior courts and, in some instances, has original jurisdiction over particularly important cases. A number of the larger states, such as New York, also have intermediate appellate courts between the superior courts and the state's highest court.

A state may have special tribunals, including juvenile court, divorce court, family court, housing court, and small-claims court. There are more than 1,000 state courts of various types, and their judges may be either appointed or elected.

5. Imagine that you are the assistant manager of Marco’s (a fast food restaurant). The manager has asked you to assess the food and prices, service and atmosphere and suggest any changes that you think need to be made.

A 14-year study shows that fast food restaurants have only made minimal improvements to the nutritional value of items on their menus. The researchers say that's especially problematic because more than 25 percent of Americans eat fast food two or more times a week, and the items are filled with high amounts of sugar, fat and salt.

Fast food restaurants are a very quick and easy way to get food if you are in a hurry, but there is a dark side to this convenience. Most fast food restaurants are generally bad for both people and the environment. The production of food is in a way harmful to the environment. The food itself is a potential risk to people’s health.

That is why if I will have the chance to change something I will:

  • Focus on value

  • You can practice portion control--choose small, regular, junior or single sizes.

  • No delayed meals or waiting at the table for food.

  • You can make special requests to avoid hidden calories such as mayonnaise and "special sauces".

  • You can split and share with no extra charges.

  • Nutrition information is available.

  • Promote New and Novelty Items-Attract consumers with promotions for new items and advertise a range of food items that appeal to a variety of diners, but balance the special price menu by eliminating too many options. Promotion of a new food item each month attracts customers looking for something unusual. Food with a holiday theme, including peppermint ice cream for the winter holidays or iced drinks during summer months, attracts customers focused on that single food item. Promote food made with seasonal fruit and vegetables, and advertise your special menu to increase patronage.

  • Train Staff for Continuity - Quality customer service promotes a pleasing experience for your diners. A smile and greeting from your staff when customers enter the store helps set the tone for the visit - and the training required to get employees to utter a simple greeting is minimal.

Keep your restaurant interior clean, and landscape the area around the drive-through window to improve the customer perception of your restaurant. A customer who experiences quality dining is a happy customer. A satisfied customer also recommends your restaurant to others.
