OBTAINING STIMULANT ON BASE OF GOSSYPOL RESIN, ITS ANALYSIS AND STUDYING ITS INFLUENCE ON PLANT GROWING

One of the actual problems of modern science is the utilization of waste and obtaining from them useful products. Gossypol resin is also production waste that is obtained by the distillation process of fat acids in the mills producing fat and oil products.
On base of research results the chemical composition and properties of gossypol resin were determined. Gossypol resin is a black homogeneous liquid mass. It contains dry substances (96,3%), water and other volatile compounds (3,7%) and ashes (0,3–1,0%). The total amount of lipids is 82%, fat acids – 17–40%, the substances containing nitrogen – 12%, canifol – 1%. The phospholipids, triglycerides, stearines (2%) and tocopherols (about 400mg/kg) are present in the composition of gossypol resin.
Using this data the organic compounds of gossypol resin were modified chemically and the stimulant having a positive influence on plant growing could be obtained. The influence of the stimulant on the speed of seed growing; the development of strong root system and also on increasing green mass was studied.
Obtained results
The seeds taken for experiment were wetted at 25 °C for 24 hours in the solutions of the compounds synthesized using gossypol resin in different concentrations and then were planted.
The seeds wetted in 0,001% solution of prepared compound have grown up 1 day before than standard cottonseeds. It was also observed that the root system increased 1,5 times.
Increasing green mass was observed by using 0,001% solution of prepared compound as a nutrient introduced through the plant leaves. So, the opportunity of utilizing gossypol resin tossed as a waste to environment was revealed and the compounds that cause the plants to grow and to develop as a nutrient were obtained. The investigations to improve such a modification are being continued.
