Veterinary - Sanitary Faculty

The faculty was set up in 1942. Since 1961 it has been training specialists in the line of veterinary sanitation. At present it is the only faculty training veterinary - sanitary doctors.

The deсan of the faculty is profcssor Usha. Recently the faculty started training specialists in new fields: standardization and certification and bachelor in the line of veterinary science.

The faculty has laboratories equipped for teaching at high level. The teaching programme is designed to develop the interests and potential of each student.

At present there are many chairs at the faculty. They are veterinary - sanitary examination, veterinary sanitation, parasitology, other.All the chairs arc headed by professors and doctors of sciences. .

The full course of study lasts 5 years. The academic year runs from September to July. During this period, students have 2 sessions

In the junior courses the students study such subjects as higher mathematics, physics, chemistry, philosophy, english laguage and other disciplines that are similar to school.

The aim of thc second stage is to get good professional knowledge. In the senior courses the students study subjects determining their future speciality. They are: anatomy and physiology, microbiology, virology and some others. During the final year students arc busy working at their diploma projects.

Graduates trained veterinary and sanitary estimates of meat and milk.

Graduates are employed in a wide range of industries . They try to do their best to become good specialists in their field of interest.
