Matsko V. P. Conception of an individual and the world in the Ukrainian diaspora prose of the XX th century. – Manuscript.

The thesis is the first fundamental study of anthropocentric model of the world in Ukrainian diaspora prose of the XX century. It is proved that diaspora prose writers, in spite of the great number of antropologic models, created a specific generalized type of the individual – expressively social, having the traits of a certain cultural and historical medium, and at the same time raised to the level of total human generalizations. Intersubjeсtive world of the interpersonal communication and internal human world correlate as macro and miсrocosmos that are revealed through verbal expression of author’s intentions. Polystylism of diaspora prose of the XX century causes the great number of author’s views observing the reality. This massif of literature demonstrates both the activity of existential, impressionist, post-modernist trends and the updating of literary tradition that is expressed in renewal of ornamental style elements. Though anthropocentric models of the world have many vectors of their artistic embodiment, they can be classified according to several conceptual paradigms: rationalistic, mythological, personalistic, cultural and anthropologic, complementary and others. Anthropologic models of the world, offered by diaspora writers, view an individual as complex multi-dimensional essence that is in the centre of interaction of psychological, traditional, religious and political factor.
