GNSS Integrity Monitoring Schemes for Terrestrial Applications in Harsh Signal Environments. GNSS-based positioning.

The aim of the article is to design a template integrity monitoring scheme for low-cost GNSS receivers in urban environments.

The research method used in the article is description.

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) position integrity is referred to as a system's ability to issue timely warnings to users when the information supplied by the navigation system is unreliable and should not be used.

Recently, the concept of GNSS integrity monitoring has attracted more and more attention from GNSS - based land applications. For these applications, huge positioning errors can cause serious consequences.

In the current literature, two approaches for integrity monitoring algorithms exist : snapshot and sequential.

For both classes of approaches, the main challenges for the GNSS - based terrestrial applications are local effects, due to the nearby obstacles (Such as NLOS-reception and multipath interference).

The time period of the article is modern time.

The authors come to the conclusion that the best accuracy and integrity performances are obtained by the hybrid UMM-based WEKF with the innovation-based Danish method.
