Cuba

Cuba is its geographical features.

There are a lot of caves in Cuba. In the west is the cave of Santo Thomas. It has an extensive network of underground galleries, the total length of which is 25 km.

About 2/3 of the entire territory of the country is occupied by slightly hilly plains. They are the most populated and developed.

The coast of Cuba is indented with deep bays and bays.

The climate in the country is tropical trade wind. The average air temperature in January is + 19-21 C, in July - + 30-35 C. The average annual temperature is at +26 C.

The climate is quite humid. Strong heat is mitigated on the coast by constantly blowing winds.

Precipitation falls annually up to 1500 mm. They are fairly evenly distributed across the seasons. The rainy season lasts from May to August-October, the dry season - from September-November to April. The weather is changing fast enough. Even in the dry season, for example, heavy tropical rain can occur.

The average annual sea water temperature does not fall below +24 C. On average, 330 days are sunny.

Season

Summer in Cuba is the rainy season, high humidity and high temperatures.

In Cuba, the end of November - beginning of April is considered the most favorable season for holidays. It is mild and warm weather with good humidity. May-October is the rainy season and summer stuffiness. In October - November, there are hurricanes. However, having been to Cuba in October, we can say that: tropical rain almost always starts unexpectedly, ends in 10 minutes and after another 5 minutes the sun is already shining actively. So do not be afraid of the rains, but prepare for them will not hurt.

Beaches (for which we are going there)

It is not true that the best beaches of Cuba in Varadero. Cuba has many great beaches. A very good place - Playa Del Este at 15 km. east of Havana. White sand, palm trees, ocean. There are no beaches in Havana itself.

Playa del Este is a fairly long series of beaches, the most famous and beautiful of them is Santa Maria Del Mar. There are hotels, beach chairs, umbrellas, police, beer and coconut milk sold right on the beach and all the other small pleasures of a lover to bask in the sand. Very beautiful beaches on the Caribbean Sea in the Trinidad area. Spreading large trees grow right in the sand, in the shade of which you can comfortably sit down without fear of sunburn. There are also great beaches on the islands, and indeed everywhere on the island. In developed resorts they organize deep sea fishing and boating / catamarans, etc. entertainment. So a great sea vacation in Cuba is guaranteed.

These were the main features of Cuba as a whole. Let's talk about its capital, Havana and its attractions. (you can call it a city guide)

Resting in Havana, you have the opportunity to make a fascinating cruise to Mexico.

Capitol

Familiarity with the city should start with Old Havana (Habana Vieja) - it is here that you can see the beautiful houses falling apart before our eyes, which tourists like to photograph. You can walk around Central Park, see the Capitol, the Opera House, walk to the fortress of La Punta. On the other side of the harbor you will see the fortresses of El Morro and La Cabanha, as well as a statue of Christ. In the fortress of La Cabana every day at 21.00 they shoot from a cannon, blocking the entrance to the harbor and arranging shows for tourists. Walking along the Malecon promenade and turning off at the monument to Antonio Maseo, you can get to the Amel alley, painted in Afro-Cuban style. Next, take a taxi to Revolution Square - a deserted place in the spirit of either the late USSR or North Korea with huge government buildings and the Jose Marti monument. By the way, you can climb the monument. A couple of blocks to the northwest is the Columbus Cemetery, one of the most beautiful in the world. Halfway from the cemetery to the waterfront, you can find a square with a monument to John Lennon. Still worth a trip to the Park to them. Lenin in the south of the city - take a boat ride on the lake, as well as go to the neighboring botanical garden and zoo. If you have time, take a trip to Finca Vigia Hemingway Manor. Well, you can always go out of town, to the "eastern beaches", for example, in the town of Santa Maria del Mar.

You will want to come here again and discover something new!
