Advantages and Disadvantages of Computer Invention

Computer and Internet are now parts of our everyday life. Most people find them essential and could not manage without them (1). However, there are also some advantages and disadvantages to owning and using a computer.

First of all, computers save a lot of time. You can do a lot of things simultaneously (2). You can read the latest news while planning your night’s TV viewing and communicate with friends. Computers seldom make mistakes. It’s much faster and easier to surf the Internet than to go to the library. In addition to this storing information on a computer disks is one of the most efficient ways of keeping data. One computer disk can hold the same amount of information as several books. 

Moreover, Internet helps us to do on-line shopping. It makes it possible to find exactly what you want at the best price, saving both time and money (3).

However, computer has its disadvantages. One of the main disadvantages is that a computer is dangerous for health, especially for eye-sight. Using computer is not only a part of a work now is a bad habit, because people try to use a computer almost every minute (4). That’s why computers are harmful for people’s health.

Many people think that computers can make the mind lazy. You get used to not reading a book, or researching something at the library... Just a few key-strokes and you have your answer (5).

All in all, I strongly believe that computers are a useful tool. They have changed our life for the better.
