1.The strategy is a plan or series of plans for achieving an aim, especially success in a business or the best way for an organization to develop in the future. Strategy, in my opinion, is a clear plan, then putting into action. And the strategy is predictions based on analyses. Business plan includes in itself aims, facts, objectives and others. Business strategy is a company’s aims in a particular market and the way it hopes to achieve them.

2. There are groups, which are involved in deciding a strategy. Several of them are shareholders, boards of directors, senior managers.

Shareholders can accept the important decisions, because they are the owners of the actions(shares) and and proprietors of the capital. And they have the right to take part in management of joint-stock company(акционер.общество), also agree on(договариваются) questions on merge and absorption in the market, gaining market share.

Boards of directors accept the important decisions in activity of the company, make the business plan, set objectives, also consider(examine) a question on diversification, widening a company base, building up strength, make the annual report.

Senior managers are engaged in questions on creation and widening a company base, distribute(allocate) proceeds, expand of the range of core product, also bring their changes in the strategy of the company, employ tactics to achievement of the setting tasks.

3. There are different types of strategies used by the companies.

For example, the business of Newcastle United is football. And their aim is to play attractive football, to win trophies (призы), to satisfy their supporters(сторонники) and shareholders and continually to improve its position as a top European club.

(Glaxo Wellcome) The research-based company, for example, flights disease by bringing innovative medicines and services to patients throughout the world.

There are firms, which creates handmade food, avoiding addition chemicals, additives, and so on.(Pret)

4. The mission statement is a short written statement made by an organization, intended to communicate its aims to customers, employees, and shareholders etc. The stating a company strategy in the mission statement is profitable for the company on the one hand. It has several advantages: for example, sometimes the achievement of the setting tasks can promote improvement of a role of a company not only in the national market, but also on international. But it is reached(achieved), only if the targets of the company are directed on diversification. And it can lead to widening a company base, building up strength, widening the distribution channel , that in turn can result to cost cutting, increasing proceeds. But if the mission is formulated incorrectly, inexact, not clear, it can result in bankruptcy of the company. And sometimes not all groups involved in deciding strategy take into account interests of the employees, customers. The strategy of the company should be focused on the customers to attract them increasingly. And the strategy should also satisfied interests of the employees, working in the companies.

5. If you want to develop a strategy especially for a large company, first you think about what assets you have - what's unique about those assets, what markets you know about and what markets are growing, and which of those markets can make the best use of your assets.

If in broad terms, there are three simply steps of developing a strategy.

You need to set an objective to improve your operations. Firstly, you think about how to create better profits, and better cash generation, and better long-term value for the shareholders (it’s main for the company). The second step is to look at the assets you had and see which ones you should keep and which ones you should dispose of (распоряжаться). And then the third step was to stitch together all your businesses, so that they were able to use, each other's assets, to make a greater whole.

6. I think that “small is beautiful” is better strategy in business than “big is best”, because the strategy can have a small plan, but the plan, which including the most important targets, objectives for the company, which can bring a good profit. It is better to set the one or two targets rather many, because they can be realize in a short-term period. Only it should choice the main targets and focus on them.

7. There are advantages of the merger such as:

1.A merger o has a lot of appeal. If you combine to the several players, your company can grow fastly.

2.By combining two companies with good management teams, you automatically build up the strength of your management and you do it quickly. You can also widen your customer base and have more distribution, channels.

3. In addition, you force your competition, because they have no choice and have to respond to the changes you initiated.

Disadvantages of the merger:

1. You can fail in terms of their benefit to the shareholders, customers, employees and business partners. A decision has to be right with each of those groups, or you would not go forward with it.

2. If you merge two companies that are growing very fastly, no matter how smoothly they operate, you lose momentum.

3. It’s not branch banks, and if you don't keep those people, you have made a terrible, terrible investment and you've done a disservice to your shareholders. So you need to focus first on the people and how you incorporate them into our company, and then you focus on how to drive the business.
