27. Translate the sentences. Pay attention to the ways of expressing speaker’s emotions by using the Present,

Past and Future Continuous:

Note: The Present, Past and Future Continuous may be used to express the emotions of the speaker. The adverbs 'al­ways', 'forever',

'constantly' are used with the verb in the continuous form in such cases. The Ukrainian equiva­lents are «завжди ти», «постійно»,

«весь час»:

1. She was constantly changing her mind. 2. Why are you always coming late? 3. She was always coming and "staying for hours giving pointless advice and asking endless ques­tions. 4. Don't ask him. He will be constantly quarrelling and getting on our nerves. 5. You are always complaining and grumbling. 6. Why are you always interferring in what doesn't concern you?

28. Translate into English:

1. Ти постійно їси цукерки перед обідом. 2. Вона постійно губила ключі. 3. Чому ви сваритесь весь час? 4. Ви завжди запізнюєтесь. 5. Ти завжди скрізь кидаєш недопалки. 6. Чому ти постійно бурчиш і скаржишся? 7. Вона завжди давала безглузді поради. 8. Вона постійно читає газету за сніданком. 9. Ти завжди дієш мені на нерви. 10. Вона постійно сперечається. 11. Він постійно позичає гроші і забуває їх повертати. 12. 3авжди ти стовбичиш біля дзеркала. 13. Ти постійно втручаєшся у мої справи. 14. Ти завжди стоїш біля вікна годинами.

The Future Continuous Tense.

1. Translate the sentences and comment on the use of the Future Continuous Tense:

- At this time tomorrow I'll be flying home. What will you be doing, Kate?

- I'll be packing my luggage and looking forward to my seven days at home.

- I suppose we shall be all thinking about our home-coming all the way there.

- And of course, we shall be feeling too excited to be tired after our journey.

2. Say what other people will be doing at a given moment in the future:

Example: I'm going to watch TV from 9 to 10 o'clock tonight (at 9.30).

So at 9.30 you will be watching TV.

1. Jim is going to study from 7 till l0 o'clock this evening. (at 8.30 this evening) 2. We’re going to clean the flat tomorrow. It will take from 9 till 11 o’clock. (at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning) 3. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to play tennis from 4 o'clock till 5.30. (at 5 o'clock tomorrow) 4. We're going to spend next Saturday lying on a beautiful beach. (in the afternoon next Saturday). 5. George is going to tidy up his garden from 7 till 9 o’clock tomorrow evening. (at 8 o'clock tomorrow evening) 6. Mike is going to travel by boat along the Severn all next week (on Thursday) 7. Roy is going to climb up in the Alps in a week's time. (next Wednesday) 8. Bill is planning to come back home by car starting from the US eastern coast on 10 July. Bill lives in San-Francisco, so it will take him a week to get home (on 15 July) 9. Alan is going on business to the USA. His flight is at 9.53 tomorrow morning. (at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning) 10. He is going to return home from work between 6 and 7 tomorrow evening. (at 6.25 tomorrow evening) 11. Between 2 and 4 o'clock the day after tomorrow I am going to meet our business partners from China. (at 3 o'clock the day after tomorrow) 12. Fred is going to talk to his boss about his further promotion. The appointment is fixed for Friday, at 3.15 p.m. (at 3.20 on Friday).
