3. Software and hardware of acs tp

   1. General requirements

The software and hardware suite (SHS) shall represent a hierarchical, multisite, distributed microprocessor system that includes the hardware and software compatible technical means and is combined by the local area networks.

The software and hardware suite and its components shall be capable of continuous digital mode of operation in severe conditions of industrial operation at the substation (low or high temperatures, dust, humidity, vibrations, electromagnetic fields etc).

The ACS TP of the SS shall include:

• process level devices:

  • controllers inbuilt to equipment

  • computer process interfaces (CPI)

  • smart sensors:

    • primary signal transducers,

    • controlled object actuators

• Connection level devices:

  • Intelligent electronic devices (IED) of different purpose:

    • measurements,

    • control,

    • equipment status monitoring,

    • quality monitoring

    • recording of emergency processes etc.

• Upper (substation) level devices:

  • data display to user devices:

    • operator workstations

    • engineer workstations

    • remote viewing display,

  • data concentration, processing and archiving devices:

    • servers of the system

  • gateways for information exchange with higher level of dispatcher control

  • LAN devices: network switches, routers

  • time synchronization subsystem

• Devices and communication lines, to ensure the exchange of information in digital form with low-level devices and commands to the actuators.

• Devices of digital communication and channels of communication with upper level dispatcher control

• Power supply units

• Service equipment and SPTA

• Cable connections and local area networks etc.;

• constructs for hardware accommodation:

  • cabinets with required hardware,

  • office furniture for operating personnel to accommodate the operator workstations, engineer stations and printers

• cable networks etc.;

Technical and quantitative parameters for the supplied hardware of ACS TP represented in the technical data table.

When designing ACS TP it is required to provide the possibility of:

• hardware and software expansion due to the necessity of upgrading the SS processes and equipment;

• introduction new control and regulation technologies

• increasing the content and scope of the data processed.;

The composition of autonomous systems (subsystems) should include subsystems that implement separate functions for monitoring and control of power equipment, as well as specialized microprocessor subsystem monitoring of electrical equipment, including the supplied as a unit with equipment.

The number of SHS, controllers, CPI, marshaling cabinets and other hardware and software of SHS is determined by the Supplier in the ACS TP Contract design approved by the Employer.

All devices and instruments included in the ACS TP composition shall comply with the international standards IEC, IEEE, and the State standards of Ukraine.
