      1. Ensuring of equipment operating conditions

Complex hardware of ACS TP of Substation must be designed to work around the clock without staff in a room with ambient temperature: T = +5°C …+ 45°C, with relative humidity of 5 to 80% and atmospheric pressure of 500-600 mm Hg.

At the same time there should be no implementation of special measures in indoors installation systems (e.g., conditioning).

ACS TP equipment to be placed outdoors (in the “field”) must be operated at an ambient temperature of -25°C to +55°C, relative humidity of 5% to 95%, or installed in a thermostatic enclosure system.

The equipment should be resistant to seismic effects of IEC 60255-21-3, class 3

All equipment should be usually fanless. It should be widely used flash-cards, SSD drives, except for archive servers that can be used conventional drives.

      1. Requirement to control and optical cables

Control cables coupling connection and control level equipment, that are installed on a substation territory, should have copper cores, with a cross-section of at least 2,5 mm2, shielded if required, do not support combustion, with a spare cores of 10%.

Control cables should comply to GOST 1508-78 “Control cables with rubber and plastic insulation. Technical regulation”, GOST 26411-85 “Control cables. General specifications” and working documentation, approved in established order.

Packaging, labeling, transportation and storage of cables should conform to GOST 18690-82.

Copper current-carrying conductors should be solid stranded and conform to class 1 of GOST 22483-77.

Optical cables must include the required number of optical conductors, including a reserve of 10% of the required number of optical strands. Optic cables makeup/bunching must be carried out in specialized optical boxes (OpticalDistributionFtames – ODF). All core of optical cable must be cut on the optical box panel.

Optical cables must have a protective coating in accordance with the place of cabling. The protective coating must be non-flammable or do not support combustion and the working temperature range must meet the requirement in Chapter 0.

Optical cables must meet the requirements of ITU-T Rec. G.651, G652, IEC 60331, IEC 60332.

The service life of the control and optical cables, if the user complies with the installation rules appropriately approved, operating and storage conditions shall be not less than 15 years, and if the cables are installed indoors, in tunnels or ducts shall be not less than 25 years.

      1. Testing and self-diagnostics of the shs components

Diagnostics of the system as a whole and its individual components shall be performed continuously and automatically throughout all time of operation of ACS TP in all modes of operation.

The subjects of diagnostics shall be: devices of substation level, connection level and process levels, means of communication, software

The connection level devices, network equipment and WS shall be diagnosed automatically both at start up and continuously in the course of operation.

Subsystems integrated in the ACS TP composition shall have individual means of self-diagnostics and generate the corresponding signals to SHS.

The system shall ensure storage of diagnostics data and shall not allow their loss in case of cut-off of external power supply.
