1. Ви отримали завдання підготувати доповідь іноземною мовою на тему „ Значення традицій у формуванні світогляду людини”.

Every country and every nation has its own traditions and customs. And it’s very important to know traditions and customs of different people: it will help you to know more about the history and life of different nations and countries.

English people are proud of their traditions and carefully keep them up. Christmas is their favourite holiday. It’s celebrated on the 25^th of December. They give presents to each other, not only children, but all family members and people you work with. Another tradition is to send Christmas cards. All these cards are bright and colourful. Most of big cities of Great Britain, especially London, are decorated with Christmas trees. Children find Christmas presents in their stockings. If to talk about Ukrainian traditions I’d like to mention the “Holy Supper” (Свята вечеря). We have “Holy Supper” on the 6^th of January, it’s a meal of 12 traditional dishes such as varenyky, borshch and kutia (wheat with honey, nuts and pop seeds). Sviat Vechir is a good chance for the family to get together.
