My name is Victor Koval. This year in June I have left school and in July passed my exams at the building college. Now I am a full-time first-year student.

Our college is a three-storeyed building situated in the centre of Zaporizhzhya. It is not far from our block of flats and I can easily get there by bus. It takes me 25 minutes to get to the tech­nical school.

Our college occupies two buildings. It is quite big with sport ground behind it. On the ground floor there are the classrooms, on the second – the library. There are all kinds of tools in the workshops. The boys of our technical school have a woodwork room too.

Our college library is nice and clean. Two librarians help students to find books they need. There are many bookcases and bookshelves with a lot of books there. There is a large reading-hall in our technical school and we often do our homework there.

If you enter the technical school and turn right you see a big light dining-room. It is always busy and noisy, but it is clean. Here students and their teachers have their lunch.

It runs full-time and part-time (or evening) departments. There are several departments at our technical school. Our studies begin at 9 o'clock, usually we have four hours (periods) a day. We have a lunch break at 12 o'clock.

There is a gym (gym hall) on the fourth floor. Our physical training lessons are held there.

Our classrooms and laboratories are large and light. There are special classrooms for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, English, and Ukrainian. Our labs have modern equipment. Next year we’ll have practical training in the workshops.

On the fourth floor there is a big nice assemble hall. A lot of meetings, concerts, festivals are held there.

The academic session began on the first of September and will end in June. Every day we attend lectures and have practice.

I do well because I want to become a good specialist. At the end of the term we'll take exams and I'll try to pass them successfully.

Some of our students live in the hostel. It is not far from our college. It takes them two minutes to get to the college.

I am thankful to our teachers for what they have done for us.
