TRAVELLING ABROAD

Nowadays traveling abroad is very popular. Some people prefer to travel by plane, especially businessmen, because it`s the fastest means of transportation. Those who are not short of time usually travel by train or by ship. It takes more time but gives the opportunity to see the country you travel through, its picturesque landscapes and nature.

While traveling abroad you have to go through customs, sometimes several times.

As a rule the customs officers check your passport and visas if they are required. When coming to some countries you made need a health certificate or a certificate of vaccination. If you have anything to declare, then you are to fill in the declaration form.

The customs officers may ask you to show your luggage to them. Usually articles for personal use and wear and also used items and gifts are not liable to duty anywhere. If you are carrying weapons you need a permit. Although some items are liable to duty, if you carry only a small amount of them, they are duty free.

Occasionally the customs officers may take some of your things for a more detailed inspection but usually they return them soon.

Do not try to break the customs rules and regulations because you may have a lot of troubles.

TRAVELLING BY AIR HAS BECOME A COMMON ACTIVITY

A lot of comfortable modern airlines are offered to fans of air travel, among them IL – 18, TU --134, TU – 154, IL – 86 and others. The IL – 86 airbus is favored by many. It is a present - day wide – body aircraft for lines with heavy passenger traffic. The excellent takeoff – landing characteristics and high maneuverability allow for operating the IL-86 jet from airfields of the same class as those required for mach smaller aircraft. The system of automatic controls and navigation fully provide for all – weather regular flights via optimized routes. Passengers like its built – in air stairs which offer speedy embarkation and disembarkation independently of the pleasant flight is guaranteed by the high ceiling, two broad aisles in between rows of seats, low noise level and individual air conditioning. The cruising speed is 950 kilometers per hour. The flight on board the IL – 86 is sure to be pleasant and relaxing.

High – speed airlines have shrunk the world. We no longer compare distances in number of kilometers, but in hours of flying time.
