With the industrial revolution, the war changed to mass destruction.
In the information age, warfare changes to Information War.
Information attacks with minimal casualities are characterizing the Information War.
Soft War is used to demoralize enemy troops by sending wrong information and morphed TV programs to them.
The IW weapons can only be used against an enemy which has also similar high-tech capabilities.
During the transition period, a few wars were actually fought with both types of armies.
The parts became interchangeable and the industry acted quickly to the needs on the battlefield.
Like in business, armies developed general staffs and also the orderschanged from oral commands to written commands

Армии были, в основном, плохо организованы и оснащены. Но имелись и исключения из этого правила.
Стандартизация использовалась не только для непосредственного производства оружия, но и для военного обучения, организации и доктрины.
Доктрина в холодной войне не имела приоритетов или точных целей, кроме как разрушать все, чтобы выиграть войну.
Общество медленно становилось коммуникативным. Военная доктрина с этого момента начала изменяться.

Это могла бы быть Информационная война, если бы главной целью было не уничтожение вооружений, а критическое стирание данных.
