Предисловие
Основной целью курса является повышение исходного уровня владения иностранным языком, достигнутого на предыдущей ступени образования, и овладение студентами необходимым и достаточным уровнем коммуникативной компетенции для решения социально-коммуникативных задач в различных областях бытовой, культурной, профессиональной и научной деятельности при общении с зарубежными партнерами, а также для дальнейшего самообразования. Изучение иностранного языка призвано также обеспечить: повышение уровня учебной автономии способности к самообразованию; развитие когнитивных и исследовательских умений; развитие информационной культуры; расширение кругозора и повышение общей культуры студентов.

В системе обучения студентов по направлению 030300.62 «Психология», дисциплина «Иностранный язык» тесно связана с рядом специальных дисциплин, такими как: «Русский язык и культура речи», «История», «Культурологий», «История мировых цивилизаций», «Политическая психология», «Общая психология» др. Это обеспечивает практическую направленность в системе обучения и соответствующий уровень использования иностранного языка в будущей профессиональной деятельности.
Данное пособие подготовлено в соответствии с требованиями программы по дисциплине «Иностранный язык для неязыковых вузов» и направлено, прежде всего, на формирование основ знаний терминологии, необходимых для успешной профессиональной деятельности.
Цель пособия заключается в формировании у студентов навыков понимания, извлечения, обработки и воспроизведения информации.
Основой пособия послужили неадаптированные тексты на английском языке. Данные материалы различны по степени языковой трудности. Тексты представлены в градации от начального этапа обучения до более высокого уровня языковой подготовки.
Структура пособия включает тексты, упражнения и практические задания комплексного характера для закрепления основных знаний по тематике соответствующего урока, что предполагает реализацию следующих целей:
повышение уровня учебной автономии способности к самообразованию;
развитие когнитивных и исследовательских умений;
развитие информационной культуры;
расширение кругозора и повышение общей культуры студентов;
развитие навыков чтения, понимания и перевода литературы по специальности с английского языка на русский;
развитие навыков устной речи на английском языке;
закрепление лексического и грамматического материала при помощи различных упражнений;
практическое владение системой английского языка и принципами ее функционирования применительно к различным сферам речевой коммуникации, речевого воздействия;
ведение беседы по прочитанному или прослушанному тексту, правильно используя лексический и грамматический минимум;
краткая передача содержания текста, анализ текста, его характеристика;
чтение про себя и понимание без перевода на русский язык оригинального текста средней трудности профессиональной направленности и публицистического жанра;
написание орфографически правильно в пределах активного лексического минимума.
В результате освоения дисциплины «Иностранный язык» (английский язык) у выпускника формируются следующие общекультурные компетенции:
- способность и готовность к использованию знания иностранного языка в профессиональной деятельности и в профессиональной коммуникации (ОК-13).
В прикладной деятельности:
- владение навыками перевода различных типов текстов (в основном научных и публицистических, а также документов) с иностранных языков и на иностранные языки; аннотирование и реферирование документов, научных трудов и художественных произведений на иностранных языках.
