36. Military Campaign of the Russian army to Central Asia in the first half of х1х century

The gain of Central Asia, and the South of Kazakhstan imperial Russia went from two parties - the Syr-Darya line from a fort Perovsky and from strengthening true. It is known that Khivan expedition of 1839-1840 under V.A.Perovsky's command ended with failure. Joint stock company Mosque (nowadays Kyzylorda), being kokandsky fortress, imperial armies stormed 2 times. The first time in 1852 - it is unsuccessful, and only in the following, 1853, the Joint stock company Mosque was taken by the general Perovsky. After creation on Syr-Darya several strengthenings, in particular the strengthening Raim constructed in 1847 in 70-80 km from the mouth of Syr-Darya, and also a fort No. 1 (Kazala), a fort No. 2 (Karmakchi) and replacement of kokandets from fortresses Taushubek (1851), the Joint stock company Mosque (1853) supported the proposal of the West Siberian governor general G. Gasfort on connection of Syr-Darya and Siberian military lines.

Successful performance of Russia began spring of 1864 under command of colonel Tchernyaev. On June 4 storm took Auliye - to At, armies of colonel Verevkin occupied on June 12 Turkestan. After the first successes Tchernyaev decided to go further to fortress Shymkent for the purpose of a gain. Residents showed persistent resistance, and the group was compelled to recede. But soon Tchernyaev moved again to Shymkent. Approach was conducted with 2 directions: from Turkestan under Tchernyaev's command and from Auliye - Ata under command of the colonel Lerkh. On September 22, 1864 after a siege Shymkent was taken by storm. Imperial armies under Tchernyaev's command ruthlessly finished with local population.

After a capture of Shymkent Tchernyaev's group went to the largest shopping and political center of Central Asia – to Tashkent. On June 17, 1865 after storm and three-day street fights the city was taken. In January, 1866 the Russian armies passed Syr-Darya and entered borders of the Bukhara khanate. In a number of battles they broke armies of the Bukhara emir and occupied lands the khan тва which in 1867 entered into the Turkestani general governorship. Together with the Uzbek population the Russian citizenship was accepted by the Kazakhs living in northern part of the Bukhara khanate.

37) Policy of Khiva and Kokand toward the Kazakhs in the first half of х1х century

In the first half of the XIX century. Khiva and Kokand khanate, with the support of the governments of England, made trips to the Kazakh lands. For example, in 1820 the Khan of Khiva subjected to plunder and ruin of about two thousand Kazakh villages.

In the first half of the XIX century. some genera of the Great Horde, wintering in Khiva and Kokand in the summer quarters came within the regions subordinate to Russia.

In 30-40 years. XIX century. policy of Khiva and Kokand khans was to attempt to prevent the occurrence of southern Kazakhstan to Russia. In the 20-50-ies of XIX century in southern Kazakhstan have been a number of national liberation movements against the rulers of Khiva and Kokand. So, folk vosstanie1821 was directed against the violence of Kokand, was led Tentek-torus.

In the 50's - early 60's. XIX century. Russia is increasing its military forces in the southern areas of Senior and Middle zhuzs primarily to increase pressure on the Kokand Khanate.

In October 1860 near Uzunagacha was a three-day battle between the forces of Kokand and Russia, where Kokand was soundly defeated. In the early 60's rm. XIX century. resistance to Russian troops Kokand ruler tried to form an alliance with Khiva and Bukhara.

In 1865, Russian troops had taken a major political and economic center of the pre-revolutionary Turkestan-Tashkent. Favorable conditions for the taking of Tashkent Russia created the Emir of Bukhara, starting in the spring of 1865 war against Kokand. In the 60's and early 70's. XIX c., After the defeat of Kokand, Bukhara and Khiva by Russian troops, the Kazakhs southern regions came from the power of the Central Asian khanates.

The process of joining the territory of Kazakhstan to Russia was completed in 1864-1865. In 1868, the Kazakh territory previously subordinated Kokand were subject Turkestan province. In the spring of 1866 Kazakhs living in the north of the Emirate of Bukhara, together with the Uzbeks have recognized the power of Russia.

38) The revolt of Kazakhs against the Kokand dominance in 1858 38 . Kokandsky governor Hudoyar hanu managed to incline part of the Kazakh patrimonial governors on the party and to weaken resistance of the risen. The main centers of revolt were suppressed. Revolt accelerated overthrow of the power of kokandsky governors and completion of accession of Kazakhstan to Russia. Having used strengthening of kokandsky armies in Auliye-At, the Measure, to Pishpeka, Tokmaka in 1860 the Russian armies under command of colonel Cimmerman acted from strengthening Kastek and Shymkent, Tashkent moved through the Chuysky valley on Auliye-Ata. On August 26 Tokmak, and on September 4 after a five-day siege one of strong points of kokandets in the region - Pishpek was taken.
