§3 The reasons of cheer movement appearance in Russia

In Russia, there is a relatively recent cheerleading .It got its start with the rise of American football. The first team of cheerleading in our country was created in 1996 with the Children's League of American Football (DLAF). Soon interest in girls to the original sport has grown so much that in January 1998 there was Nonprofit Organization leisure club "Assol", established DLAF, whose main task was to develop the program of support groups teams. In August 1999, on the initiative of the Club "Assol" was registered NGO "Cheerleaders Federation - support group of sports teams." Later it was joined by Regional Federation Astrakhan, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Moscow Region, Perm, St. Petersburg. Cheerleading popularity continued to grow rapidly, as early as 1999 in the Palace of Sports "Dynamo", the first cheerleading competition at the Federation Cup. Subsequently, these competitions have been held annually for a particular program. February 12, 2007 cheerleading in Russia was officially recognized as a sport! November 23, 2008 at the Palace of Sports "Dynamo" Moscow (Russia) took Ist World Cup of Cheerleading (IFC World Cup 2008) in which, among other countries, Russia has taken five prizes. 3 of them in the nomination CHEER ALL FEMALE 16 + (Senior), 1 and 3 places n in the nomination CHEER MIXED 16 + (Senior), 2nd and 3rd place in CHEER ALL FEMALE 12-15 (Junior) and 3rd place in the category GROUP STUNTS 16 + (Senior). In May 2009 , was the first championship of Russia on cheerleading. At the European Championship Russian team won a prize in the category of Cheer-dance in the age category of juniors.

Cheerleading is separate independent sport. Cheerleading championships are held in several categories:

• Cheer - elements gymnastics and acrobatics, the construction of the pyramids and dance rebuild a stentorian chants;

• Dance - Latin Dance with elements of gymnastics, with the presence of plasticity, good choreography and grace, amazing synchronicity;

• Cheer Mix - performances mixed teams (men and women);

• Stunt - the collective construction of the pyramids;

• Personal cheerleader - solo main instigators team;

• Cheer-dance show;

• paired constant

Cheerleading has appeared recently but this sport has became one of the most popular in Russia. And we can see how cheerleading develops and attracts more and more fans.

Chapter2. Cheerleading as a part of sport in Perm. §1 The appearance of cheerleading team in Perm

Cheerleading in Perm became one of the most interesting and beautiful sport. Every year more and more children and adults begin to take up this kind of sport.

2012 it’s the sixth year in the history of cheerleading in Perm. So, cheerleading in our city appeared in 2006 but the team of cheerleading had appeared before this year and had been called sports dance with acrobatic elements. The first teams of cheerleading were “YES”,” Fly”,”Mango”. Each team was different. “YES” had good sports training, “Fly“ had the best dances and “Mango” was the most creative and with good emotions.

More than 40 teams have been created in Perm for six years (“YES”, “COOL”,” Vesca”, “Fly” ,”Mango”, “Fire”, “Fiesta”, “Kaleidoscope” etc.) that played at various venues in the city, region and Russia. Five championships have been held for cheerleading teams of the city and region.

The best teams took part in the Russian championships. In 2009 the team of Perm won fifth place at the European Championships in Poland in adults, and the team "YES" for children and juniors performed three times at the European championships in France and became the winner (2nd and 3rd) at the World Championships in 2010 and made the team of the "Premium" - students of Perm State pedagogical University and Perm state Pharmaceutical Academy. They finished fifth at the Open Championship of Europe in late 2011, the team "COOL" won 2nd and 3rd place. Nowadays seven people from the team "Yes" take part in Russian national team.

In April 2012 the Cup of Russia was held, which was attended by 46 teams from Perm, Izhevsk, Trinity, Krasnogorsk, Moscow and Khimki. A large number of spectators and a warm atmosphere left a vivid impression of the event. Team supported each other’s chants and applauded. It’s pleasant to notice that boys have appeared in these teams. Due to this fact, more entertainment was introduced in programs.

So, cheerleading in Perm has become one of the most popular kinds of sport. There appeared more teams and cheerleaders of our city began to compete with the strongest teams of the World.
