Formula:
Similar block-scheme can be formed for any task. Degree of its detailing can be various; it will depend on complexity of problem and step of work.
N.B. Examples of medical problems that present here are very simple, not real, and not suitable for using in medical treatment practice without addition and correction.
If we form textual algorithm or program, we must use special marked points at the place of trace lines merging (in this example - before input regular number xi). Numbered marks are usual.
Example of choice and correction of treatment dose.
Name of medicine: Fluoxetine (Prosak, Portal, Prodel, Fludak).
Citation from instruction for using. Fluoxetine is used per os. In case of using one time a day Fluoxetine is used in the morning; in case of using two times a day Fluoxetine is used in morning and in the evening.
Initial dose for adults usually is 0,02 g 1 time a day. If necessary after 3-4 weeks of the treatment dose is risen on 0,02 g for a day. Maximal dose for adult is 0,08 g, maximal dose for elderly and old patients is not more than 0,06 g.
Term of treatment must be 3-4 months.
Textual algorithm
We divide the treatment process on the steps, mark every step by number and use this number for change of action order.
Recommended dose 0,02 g and usage in the morning.
Treatment 3-4 week.
If effect of treatment is sufficient then continue treatment with previous conditions. Go to step 4.
If effect of treatment is not sufficient then:
3a. If patient is adult and dose is less than 0,08 g, add 0,02 g to the previous dose, and recommend using two times: in the morning and in the evening. Else continue treatment with previous conditions. Go to step 4.
3b. If patient is elderly and old and dose is less than 0,06 g, add 0,02 g to the previous dose, and recommend using two times: in the morning and in the evening. Else continue treatment with previous conditions. Go to step 4.
Treatment 3-4 week.
If total time of treatment less than 3 months then go to step 3.
If total time of treatment more than 3 months and effect of treatment is complete then stop treatment.
If total time of treatment more than 3 months and effect of treatment is not complete then continue treatment next 1 month and stop.
B lock-scheme of algorithm
Such algorithms are used in all systems with execution modules. It can be recommendations for the doctors, paramedics, nurses or patients about medicine treatment, methods of cure, style of life. It can be commands to execution blocks of the monitoring system in urgent departments of clinics (for example, alarm signal for the medical staff, change of the parameters of a life support system, giving of medical preparations to the life support system).
Next tasks you have to describe by 1 and 2 methods (on native language and as scheme) by means, example of which you can see above.
