Indefinite
THE PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE
to dress (одягатися) – dresses
to wash (умиватися) – washes
to teach (навчати) – teaches
to watch (спостерігати) – watches
to mix (змішувати) – mixes
to study (вивчати) – studies
to cry (кричати) – cries
to play (грати) - plays
to stay ( залишатися) – stays
to go (іти) – goes
to do ( робити) – does
Заперечна форма дієслова утворюється від дієслова to do в Present Indefinite та заперечної частки not, які ставляться перед дієсловом:
I do not speak He (she, it) does not speak
We do not speak You do not speak
They do not speak
В усному мовленні замість do not та does not звичайно вживаються скорочені форми don`t та doesn’t:
I don`t understand -
He doesn’t know me – Він не знає мене.
Питальна форма дієслова утворюється за допомогою дієслова to do в Present Indefinite та інфінітива основного дієслова без частки to.

You live here:
Do you live here? Don`t you live here?
Where do you live? Why don`t you live here?

Who has a rest there in summer? Who works at the factory?
Present Indefinite вживається: а) для вираження звичайної, постійної дії, що повторюється регулярно та, як правило, в супроводі таких прислівників та словосполучень: every day, always, usually, often, seldom, rarely, sometimes, from time to time, every other day, never, as a rule.
He is always busy. We usually have lunch at 1 o`clock.
She works every day. Sunday is the first day of the week.
The earth goes round the sun. Everybody has problems.
The class begins at 9 o`clock.
The train leaves at 6 p.m.
г) для вираження майбутньої дії в підрядних реченнях часу та умови, які вводяться сполучниками when (коли), after (після того як), before (перш ніж, перед тим як), till, untill (поки), as soon as (як тільки), if (якщо), unless (якщо не) та ін.:
