An economist's job today looks more like that of a researcher. Economists are faced with the task of obtaining the know-how of scientific research methods based on the profound understanding of mechanisms of the economic laws.
The Kryvyi Rih Economic Institute of the Kyiv National University of Business and Economics trains, among others, specialists in the speciality "Management".
To meet the present-day requirements the future manager is obliged to master various subjects, both general-educational (Geography, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Economy, Foreign Languages, etc.) and special ones (Economics of Enterprises, Logistics, Management, Marketing, Statistics of Supply and Sale, etc.).
After graduation from the Institute the graduates will go to work at various enterprises, companies, banks, firms, joint ventures and small businesses, research institutes dealing with economic problems, etc. The functions of a manager are: to carry out management of an enterprise's or a firm's operation at various levels; to make up business-plans; to control production and economic programs fulfilment; to make economic analysis; to take decisions, etc.
The profession of a manager is very important and responsible.
