My sister is twenty-five years old. She was born in Moscow. Her name is Mary. Mary is a young doctor.

She is married. Her family is not large. She has a husband and a child. Her child’s name is Ann. Ann is four years old.

Mary and her husband are very happy. Mary’s husband is a teacher of English. He works at an institute. He speaks English well. My sister also knows English. They often speak English at home. They teach their little daughter English too.

My sister’s mother-in-law lives together with them. She is fifty-eight years old. She is retired. She looks after her little granddaughter.

They are very happy.

My Family

I am an engineer. I am twenty-five years old. I work at a Ministry.

I am married, but I have no children. My wife is a teacher. She has a lot of pupils at school.

I live near the Ministry in a new block of flats. I have a one-room flat. It is very comfortable. There is a small kitchen and a bathroom in my flat. It is a modern flat. Our room is large and light. There are two big windows in it. The walls of our room are blue. The ceiling is white. The floor is brown.

There is a small table and a standard lamp near the sofa. To the left of the soft there is a comfortable arm-chair. I often sit in it and read newspapers in the evenings. In the right-hand corner there is a book-case. A large side-board is near it.

We have a piano. My wife plays it very well. I also like music, but I don’t play the piano.
