Методичні вказівки для практикуму з англійської мови для студентів факультету технології та дизайну спеціальності 091802 (091804) ІІ-ІІІ етапу навчання побудовані відповідно до вимог діючої програми з англійської мови для студентів технічних вузів. Мета методичних вказівок – забезпечити розвиток навичок роботи з фаховою літературою та мовлення у професійно-трудовій сфері.

Методичні вказівки містять текстовий матеріал, відібраний з оригінальної науково-технічної літератури із переробки натуральних волокон спеціальності 091802 (091804) студентів ІІ курсу, передтекстові та післятекстові вправи, що розвивають лексичні та граматичні навички та вміння, а також систему вправ, спрямованих на формування розмовних навичок у ситуаціях спілкування у професійній сфері. Особлива увага приділяється проблемним завданням типу „докажіть”, „охарактеризуйте”, „поясніть”, „прокоментуйте”, які сприяють розвитку розумової діяльності студентів та можуть бути використані у навчальній грі зі спеціальності студентів.

Методичні вказівки складаються з 6 уроків та додаткового матеріалу, який слугує розвитку різних видів читання.

My speciality

I am a second-year student of the Department of Technology and Design. This department trains specialists on light and textile industry.

Nowadays processing standardization and certification of light industry products have a great perspective of development. Certification according to the international standards has just begun to progress in Ukraine. That is why specialists in analysis, ecological control and certification of consumer properties of raw materials and products are in great demand.

The chair of Processing, Standardization and Certification of Raw Materials trains different specialists.

The diploma on “Processing, Standardization and Certification of Light Industry Products” gives the graduates the opportunity to work as an expert-auditor, a manager in goods quality, an engineer in standardization, an engineer-technologist, an engineer in Safety Labour. These specialists can organize the work of Standardization and Metrology Service; can attestate the manufacturing of certificated products. They also control the quality of exported and imported products at different institutions, establishments and Custom Services.

Having got the diploma on “Certification of Raw Materials of Light Industry” the graduates get appointment to enterprises on processing raw materials of vegetable and animal origin. These specialists work at flax-hemp plants, mills of cotton, silk and skin first processing and in institutions dealing with standardization and certification. They control the quality of raw materials, their stocking, processing and realization. The graduates from this department can become expert in quality control at the State Inspection. They can work in Bureaus on the Standardization and Certification of raw materials, at the expert Laboratories under Customs and Epidemic Control Services, inspectors of Tax Services as well.

Specialists in “Storage and Realization of Raw Materials” work as main experts in storage and realization of raw materials, as experts and inspectors in certification, as scientific researchers and assistants or professors at educational establishments.

The Diploma on “Safety Labour at Processing Enterprises” gives the graduates the right to work as the head of the department or an engineer in Safety Labour and Safety Technics. They can work at the department of State Committee on Safety Labour and Technics, at Fire Departments.

But it is impossible to become a good specialist without deep knowledge of many general and special subjects. The students of the department of Technology study Higher Mathematics, Physics, History of Ukraine, English or German, French or Spain. Among special subjects are Industry Technology, Properties of Fibre Materials, Industrial Economy, Systems of Automatic Projecting, Computational Technology, Equipments and Methods of Process Control.

In order to link theoretical knowledge with its application the students have some practical training at different enterprises and institutions. There the students get to know with up-to-date equipment and deeрen their knowledge of the speciality.
