The aim and the objectives of the work. The main goals of research were based on: study and structuring issues relating to special measures of protection of children's rights.

The objectives of the work are:

1) to identify the historical features of development of the institution of the international legal protection of children's rights;

2) to highlight the basic principles of international legal protection of children's rights;

3) to explore the main existing international legal instrument in the field of children's rights - UN Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989 and assess its strengths and weaknesses;

4) to assess the role and importance of the existing controls in the study area;

5) to reveal features of international legal regulation, to investigate the legal nature of international instruments relating to children's rights and special measures to protect children from sexual and economic exploitation, and children's rights in the field of bioethics.

Research methods. The work based on historical, logical, and comparatively legal research methods.

Obtained results and their practical usage. The results obtained are quite important, and they can be used in practice, as well as in higher education institutions in teaching the course "International Law" and the course "International legal protection of children's rights".
