Guess the continuation

Josh Ferrin recently purchased a home in the appropriately dubbed Bountiful, Utah. The previous owner of the home was Arnold Bangerter, a father of six who died in November. While exploring a workshop room Josh Ferrin discovered the money stuffed in eight ammo boxes in the attic. Ferrin took the eight boxes to his parents' home, where he counted the money with his wife Tara and two children, Oliver and Lincoln. It was at least $40,000 in cash…..

At the time he thought of his car troubles, repairs and renovations for the house and his desire to adopt a child.... -- but he decided to return it to the owner. "I couldn't let myself consider the money mine," he said."This little guy [the previous homeowner] put it there for a rainy day," he said Ferrin tracked down Bangerter's youngest son Dennis and his brother Kay who said they would split the money between the six siblings.

Can you explain?

The woman was arrested when the plane landed in Australia. A French woman has admitted attempting to open an aeroplane door mid-flight so that she could smoke a cigarette "outside" as she explained..

Sandrine Helene Sellies, 34, who has a fear of flying, had drunk alcohol and taken sleeping tablets ahead of the flight from Hong Kong to Brisbane.  She was seen on the Cathay Pacific plane walking towards a door with an unlit cigarette and a lighter.  She then began tampering with the emergency exit until she was stopped by a flight attendant. 

What to do?

Round like a shot... Going to bed the other night, I noticed people in my shed stealing things. I phoned the police but was told there was no one in the area to help. The policeman said they would send someone over as soon as possible. I hung up. What to do?

A minute later I rang again. 'Hello', I said, 'I called you a minute ago because there were people in my shed. You don't have to hurry now, because I've shot them.' Within five minutes there were half a dozen police cars in the area, plus helicopters and an armed response unit. They caught the burglars red-handed. One of the officers said: 'I thought you said you'd shot them.' To which I replied: 'I thought you said there was no one available.'
