  1. Get something done

We can also use get something done.

We must have another key made. OR We must get another key made.

The sentences have the same meaning, but get is more informal than have.

Here are some more examples with get.

Laura got her shoes repaired. We're getting the carpet cleaned.

Where did you get your hair cut? Do you get your heating checked every year?

Passive + preposition:

The Passive Voice is possible with intransitive verbs used with prepositions.

  1. to account for - объяснять.

  2. to agree upon/on - соглашаться.

  3. to arrive at (a conclusion, agreement, decision) – прийти к заключению (соглашению, решению).

  4. to call for (on) - зайти за

  5. to comment upon (on) - комментировать что-то

  6. to count upon (on) - надеяться, рассчитывать на кого-либо

  7. depend on (upon) - зависеть от чего-то.

  8. to hear of-слышать о

  9. to insist on (upon) -настаивать

  1. to interfere with - вмешиваться в, мешать
