Упражнение 9. Пользуясь таблицей, определите «немые» согласные и прочтите слова: foreign, talkative, guest, light, iron, pneumatic, league, guilt, when, knife, cupboard, through, psychologist, wrist, diaphragm, align, wrack, solemn, design, poignancy, raspberry, guard, consignment, wrought, biscuit.

Упражнение 10. Прочитайте и выпишите слова в которых звук:

а) передаваемый буквой "о", отли­чается от остальных: phone, know, sorry, zero, no, bone, role;

б) передаваемый буквой "а", отличается от остальных: Kate, age, mate, map, tape, make, lake;

в) передаваемый буквой "i", отличается от остальных: six, five, right, write, I'm, bite, mine;

г) передаваемый буквой "у", отли­чается от остальных: busy, city, pity, mummy, reply, sunny, any, early;
