Вопрос “Что такое право?” волновал людей издавна. Ответить на него помогает юриспруденция (исследование закона права и философии права). Существует много определений понятия права. Всякое общество, которое когда-либо существовало, признавало необходимость законов. На формирование системы законов влияют традиционные взгляды общества на добро и зло. Законы опираются на моральные, экономические, политические и социальные ценности. Многие законы отражают одновременно различные ценности общества. При составлении законов необходимо соблюдать равновесие между правами и обязанностями, волей большинства и правами меньшинства, необходимостью порядка и соблюдением основных свобод. С течением времени социальные ценности могут меняться, вслед за этим происходит и смена законов.
