Mikhail Archangel's Church
It is located not a long way from the center and the Golden Gate, near the Hotel Zarya. This church is made from red brick and bears all the features of the Byzantine style. Mikhail Archangel's Church was built at the end of the XIXth century.
In the past it housed a watch exposition but now is a functioning church.
Spaso-Preobrazhensky Church
Spaso-Preobrazhensky Church belongs to the end of the XVIIIth century but in history as a great number of other churches it had its predecessor. Here in 1164 was built a palace white stone church of Spas, though this church existed only till the fire of 1778 which brought destruction not only to this church but to many others.
This was a temple for trade people. It was erected in the style of old white stone constructions, but nonetheless contained some elements of baroque. Some of the ancient wall paintings inside the church have been preserved.
Now it is a parochial functioning church.
Nikolo-Kremlevskaya Church
Nikolo-Kremlevskaya Church was built in 1769 when the style of baroque was only penetrating into Vladimir as the church has quite a serene image and a simple decor. There is a belfry attached to the main building of the church. Now Nikolo-Kremlevskaya Church houses the City Planetarium.

Golden Gate
A monument of XII century defensive architecture. The gateway church houses a military history exhibition with a diorama "Mongol-Tartars attack on Vladimir in 1238."

Vladimir Regional Drama Theatre named after A. Lunacharsky
Established in 1848 the theatre is one of the oldest in the country. The design of the new building (architect G. Gorlyshkov) got the State Prize of Russia in 1971.

The theatre season is from September till mid June. In July-August the company is on tour.
Established in 1971 the theatre has a lot of performances for small children and school children in repertory. The theatre tours a lot over the region.
"Razgulyay" Folk Theatre
Vladimir has a moderate continental climate, with an average temperature of +18C in July and an average temperature of -11C in January. The average annual precipitation is 560 mm, approximately two-thirds of which is rainfall. The climate of Vladimir is favorable for human health and agriculture. A frost-free period of 120-140 days affords a good growing season for vegetables, fruits, and various grains. Southwest winds prevail in the city.
Summer
Summer begins around the middle of June. The summer months bring warmer weather to the region, with moderate precipitation. July, the hottest month, averages 18.1 C (approximately 66 F). In August, the temperature falls somewhat and often in the last days of the month an autumn coolness can be felt. Sometimes, though, the summer warmth lasts until the middle of September. The weather during this period is generally calm, dry, and cloudless. This phenomenon repeats regularly every three to four years.
Winter
Autumn begins in September and lasts until mid-November. From November to March, the average temperature falls below 0 C (32 F). Snow covers the ground from late November to early April. In these months the temperature may reach above 0 C when there are weather changes. The coldest part of the winter falls at the end of December and lasts through January.
