3. Some people believe that a college or university education should be available to all students. Others believe that higher education should be available only to good students. Discuss it.

Some people hold the opinion that university education should be available to all students. The main reason is that providing all students with the opportunity to obtain higher education is highly beneficial to the development of modern society. More and more people will be able to obtain knowledge and become professionals if higher education is available to all students. Since there are not only a lot of excellent professors who have significant experiences of teaching and research but also plenty of advanced facilities such as laboratories and libraries at the universities, students have much better opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills. If everyone in a society is highly educated, there will be no doubt that the society will be able to develop at a great speed.

The second reason is that it is obviously not fair to a lot of students if a university education is available only to some students. It is only fair that everyone has the right to obtain a university education.

Last but not least, people are able to obtain better jobs since universities can better prepare students for their future careers. At universities, there are a lot of opportunities for students to participate in co-op programs. By participating in co-op programs, students cannot only learn how to write resumes but also practice their interviewing skills. All these skills gained at universities will be highly conducive for students to quickly obtain job offers after graduating from universities.

There are some reasons to make the university available only for the good students. One of them is that our universities and colleges are very crowded these days. And secondly if there where fewer students we could save some money because we also would need fewer professors and teachers. And thirdly our universities where only visited by highly motivated students.

For example in the USA higher education always has tuition. Students on the upper end of the income spectrum are far more likely to attend college. But there exists an array of opportunities to cover tuition and other fees. Students may receive all or part of their college expenses through various financial fids programs. These programs include scholarships and fellowships.

To conclude I would agree with the opinion that a college or university education should be available to all students, because we are a high civilized country and a rich country and so we are responsible for all of our students. And at the end you never know who of these "bad" students will become a "good" one, if he is away from mom and dad.

4. Think of the most important class you have ever giving during your teaching practice and share your impression about it.

Every year, over 100,000 college seniors head into the public schools to student teach. They bring with them their hopes and dreams for the start of a successful career in teaching. But, many student teachers learn that they must walk a tightrope between a variety of conflicting demands and issues. I was very nervous when I began to teach 11^th form during your teaching practice. I saw that the pupils in this class were clever but they didn’t like English. Their teacher gave boring lessons and was very strict. I tried to make them more interesting but still informative.

It was third lesson with this class. We had the theme “Music”. We did some listening about Elvis Presley and listened for his songs. Then pupils worked in groups. They shared their opinions and did some exercises. At first it was hard for them to talk with each other because they used to keep silence during lessons but I told them about “busy noise”. It was funny and resultful lesson for children. After it they said that now they understood that English could be interesting. I was very happy.
