1. Introduction

Ireland, Scotland, Wales… Have you ever been there? Have you ever seen their picturesque landscapes and green forests with flying like an arrow of Robin Hood deer? Maybe you could notice in one of them the image of innocent Sadb who had to escape in the forest and live there under the mask of a deer. The history and traditions of these amazing countries are closely linked to the Celts, people who have lived on its territory since ancient times. The most interesting fact is that nobody knows exactly when it happened. As for us, we have always been interested in their culture. It started in our childhood with the tales about wild geese. Then later we were surprised to know the fact about the Irish monks living on Russian soil near Kiev. To our mind, Celtic culture is everywhere. Have you ever heard their music? It is the most ancient music in Europe. Celtic blood is flowing in a great number of famous people such as Tom Cruise, Sean Connery, Daniel Baldwin etc. You must be astounded to hear about Ronald Wilson Reagan, too. We have just tried to explain our great concern regarding the history of this extraordinary people.

Consequently, we decided to conduct a scientific research of Celtic influence on the world culture as we suppose that the basis of the world culture lays in Celtic culture. By this way we hypothesize that Celtic culture made a dramatic impact in European and American culture in the field of languages, first tools, mythology, sports, cuisine, and festivals.

The actuality of this subject consists in the idea of wide popularity, international and world significance of the English Language as a means of international intercourse which is connected to the culture of English speaking world based on Celtic culture.

To achieve the aim of our scientific work we used two methods of studying: theoretical and practical. Our theoretical part is made up of accurate learning of different sources of information on this topic. As for its practical part, we used in it the survey of the students from our school.

We set ourselves the task of investigating the roots of Celtic culture and languages which derived from Celtic ones.
