Appendix 4 Tricky situations
Two people who have to share a room do not get on with each other.
What do you do?
Someone in the tour clearly knows more about the history and culture
of your country than you do. How can you stop the person from
becoming bored or uncooperative?
One of your group has been arrested for shoplifting but insists it
was all a mistake. How would you try and settle matters with the
shop or the police?
One of your group keeps arriving late back at the bus. The other
group members are very fed up with this. What would you do?
A young group member is clearly very homesick and cries for his/her
parents. How would you help them?
