I stared at her, putting it together. "You can't see werewolves?"

She grimaced. "So it would seem." She was obviously annoyed by this fact – very annoyed.

"I don't think annoyed quite covers it," Emmett laughed and Alice hissed.

The doorbell rang again – buzzing twice quickly and impatiently.

"You don't have go anywhere, Alice. You were here first."

She laughed her silvery little laugh – it had a dark edge. "Trust me – it wouldn't be a good idea to have me and Jacob Black in a room together."

She kissed my cheek swiftly before she vanished through Charlie's door – and out his back window, no doubt.

The doorbell rang again.

"That's the end of the chapter," Rosalie said.

"Good. This book just got so much better, didn't it?" Alice smirked as she took the book.

A/N: Ha Ha, my master plan to get you all the review the last chapter worked... just kidding, I really did need to know what everyone though so I could get more into whatever mindset I need to be in to write the next story. Well it appears that just about everyone that has answered this wants Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to come first, which is good because I'm used to channeling the Cullens at the moment.

As for Midnight Sun I'm planing on only doing the chapters that Stephenie Meyer had finished with the story (meaning I won't be writing the ending myself or using someone else work (though I know there are some good ones out there) to finish the story). I would like to say that I think that it would be awesome if the story was finish but at the same time I think that where it ends off would be a good point for Bella to make her decision (knowing that he might kill her but at the same time knowing how much he really loves her).

As to Bella reading all the Twilight saga, I always assumed that the Cullen (or maybe just Edward) would show her the books after they got to know one another (I mean there is a lot in there that he would still want to happen but he wouldn't want to force Bella into it).

As for Jacob reading Midnight Sun with Bella, well I decided this at first because I didn't want Bella reading alone. That works for her, but it wouldn't make a very interesting story to put up as a fanfiction. So I thought of who I could bring in to make it more interesting and the only one that came to mind was Jacob. And I know that there aren't supposed to be meeting until the beach at La Push but they aren't supposed to be getting books that will change their futures either so whatever. Anyways I think that having Jake there would be a good way to confirm that what they are reading is true... I know he doesnt believe in the stories yet but at least he has heard of them, so that might help. Anyways I thought this would be a good idea because I really don't see how the werewolves would get involved in this story.

Which leads me to my last point, I now realize that I'm going to have to do at least a few chapters of how Edward and Bella meet, and seeing as I'm getting more and more involved with this I'm probably going to have to write a whole story. I hope you're all happy now.

Chapter Eighteen

The Funeral

"The Funeral," Alice read.

"But she's not going to the funeral," Emmett said, confused. "What is that about?"

"I don't know," Alice replied. "But it doesn't sound good."

I sprinted down the stairs and threw the door open.

It was Jacob, of course. Even blind, Alice wasn't slow.

"Thanks," Alice nearly growled at the reminder of her ineptness.

"Now you know how I feel," Edward laughed.

"At least it's not the person I love," Alice growled and that pretty much stopped Edward's laughter, though it only made Emmett laugh harder.

He was standing about six feet back from the door, his nose wrinkled in distaste, but his face otherwise smooth – masklike. He didn't fool me; I could see the faint trembling of his hands.

Hostility rolled off of him in waves. It brought back that awful afternoon when he'd chosen Sam over me, and I felt my chin jerk up defensively in response.

Jacob's Rabbit idled by the curb with Jared behind the wheel and Embry in the passenger seat. I understood what this meant; they were afraid to let him come here alone.

"Looks like the wolves are afraid of us," Emmett smirked.

It made me sad, and a little annoyed. The Cullens weren't like that.

"Hey," I finally said when he didn't speak.

Jake pursed his lips, still hanging back from the door. His eyes flickered across the front of the house.

I ground my teeth. "She's not here. Do you need something?"

He hesitated. "You're alone?"

"Yes." I sighed.

"Can I talk to you a minute?"

"Of course you can, Jacob. Come on in."

Jacob glanced over his shoulder at his friends in the car. I saw Embry shake his head just a tiny bit. For some reason, this bugged me to no end.

My teeth clenched together again. "Chicken" I mumbled under my breath.

"Well that's sure to make him come in," Rosalie said, rolling his eyes.

Jake's eyes flashed back to me, his thick, black brows pushing into a furious angle over his deep-set eyes. His jaw set, and he marched – there was no other way to describe the way he moved – up the sidewalk and shrugged past me into the house.
