Unit 1.
Getting to know you.
1. Grammar.
The word order in the simple positive sentence.
A red pen -
My father reads newspaper in the morning.
After breakfast I go to the University.
Questions.
Does he speak French- Yes, he does.
Is it cold?- No, it isn’t
when where why what who how whose which |
When does he get up?-Когда он встает?
Where does she study?-
What are you doing?-
Whom does he greet? –
How do you get to work – Как вы добираетесь до работы?
What size do you take?
What sort of music do you like?
What coat is your’s?
Whose book is this?
Which is your bag: the big one or the small one?
What/ which newspaper do you read?
How fast does it go?
How big is this new car?
Так и с Much, и Many:
How much is the fish?
How many brothers and sisters do you have?
Who helps you?- Кто помогает Вам?
Who wants to be the first?- Кто хочет быть первым?
Who helped you to do homework?-
Exercises:

Dear Maria
I’m very pleased that we’re going to be penfriends. I’ll tell you a little about myself, and you can do the same when you write to me. – Introduction
I live in area of London called Maida Vale. It’s quite near the center, but there are parks nearby where I take my dog, Mickey, for a walk. I live with my parents and my younger brother, Paul. My father works for the post office and my mother has a part-time job as a nurse. – Where you live, who you live with, what your family does
I go to the local comprehensive school, where I have a lot of friends. I like most of the subjects, but not all of them! In the evenings I sometimes visit friends or stay at home and listen to music, and at week-ends I like going swimming or horse-riding. – What you do, what you like, your hobbies and interests
At the moment I’m working very hard because I have exams soon, so I’m spending a lot of times in the library! – What are you doing at the moment
I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
