The mines of the Sorokino, which produced the first hundreds of pounds of coal in 1914 (110,000 tons of coal) laid the foundation for the structural subdivision “Krasnodonugol”. In 1935 the “Sorokinugol” trust was created, which united 25 coal mines, and in 1936 the trust was renamed Krasnodonugol, which united 40 mines on the eve of the Great Patriotic War. In 1940, 2.44 million tons of coal were mined here, the volume of the mine workings reached 30 km.

Today the asset of JV "Krasnodonugol" consists of 4 mines with a total production capacity of about 3 million tons of coal per year, 2 concentrating mills and 7 auxiliary enterprises.

The mined coals belong to brands F and K, and are coking by their qualitative characteristics, which determines the value of JV “Krasnodonugol” in the market of suppliers of raw materials for coke production.

Within the mine fields processed by mines, the stratums differ in the complexity of the geological structure. The thickness of the layers being developed ranges from 0.9 to 2.0 m with angles of incidence from 0 ° to 30 °. Currently, mining operations are conducted at depths from 400 to 1195 m.

The annual volume of the preparatory excavations according to the plan of 2016 is 13.4 km, the preparatory faces are equipped with combined electric log equipment-32 combines, RSCC gangway combine, 2PNB-2, 1PN-5, IPC-1600 rock-loading machines. The level of combine harvesting is 92.3%.

"Krasnodonugol" traditionally provides support to city organizations (social institutions, non-profit organizations and others) and provides their maintenance, restoration, construction, equipping and repair of social facilities in the city of Krasnodon and Krasnodonsky district.

Lugansk People's Republic State Unitary Enterprise "Anthracite"

The state unitary enterprise of the Lugansk People's Republic "Anthracite" is rightfully considered one of the leaders in coal mining in the Donbass, and the mine "Komsomolskaya" is one of the five largest mines in the republic.

To date, the company is the undisputed leader of coal mining in the Luhansk People's Republic. There are six cleaning faces in the work. The Komsomolskaya and “Partizanskaya” mines are capable of delivering about seven thousand tons of "black gold" daily. But miners of SUE LPR "Anthracite" do not live only the present day. There is a constant work for the future – instead of worked ones, from the beginning of 2016 two new cleaning faces of the Komsomolskaya mine were put into operation. The 3rd western longwall of the h8 reservoir, whose reserves are 500,000 tons of coal, and the average daily load is 800 tons, and the 19th western lava of the h10 formation, with reserves of 500,000 tons and an average daily load of more than 600 tons.

Two repair and mechanical plants, Anthracite and Sverdlovsk, which are part of the State Unitary Enterprise "Anthracite" allow you to organize the repair of almost any mining equipment used in the mines of the enterprise. Moreover, in terms of quality, our repair and mechanical plants are not inferior to recognized leaders in the field of mining equipment repair.
