The Faculty of Psychology and Social Work

1. Find out the information of your faculty

The faculty of Psychology and Social Work was founded in 1995. It includes two departments – the department of Psychology and the department of Social Work. The teaching staff of the faculty consists of 30 tutors. Among them there are professors, Doctors and Candidates of Psychological and Pedagogical Sciences. There is a methodical cabinet, where you can find academic and scientific library of psychology and social work. It includes not only works in Russian but 400 books in foreign languages. There is also a cabinet of diagnostics and computer classrooms with Internet access. The faculty has two chairs: the chair of Psychology of Education and Development and the chair of Social Work. More than 300 full-time students and about 40 part-time students study here.

At the faculty of Psychology and Social Work there are research and methodical labs: the laboratory of Communicative Computing Educational Systems, and the laboratory of Social-Psychological Support of Social Work Specialists. There is also the Center of Art-Creative Technologies in Social Work.

The faculty prepares Bachelors of Pedagogy and Social Work, pedagogues-psychologists, social workers, specialists of Art-Creative Technologies in Social Work and postgraduates with speciality of Pedagogical Psychology. Part-time students are taught in speciality of Social Work.

To enter this faculty you have to pass Unified State Exams in Russian, Mathematics, Biology or History.

The faculty of Psychology and Social Work co-operates with different educational establishments, institutions of youth policy and social protection.
