Conclusion

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is an implementation of Microsifts event-driven programming language Visual Basic 6, which was discontinued in 2008, and its associated integrated development environment (IDE). Although Visual Basic is no longer supported or updated by Microsoft, VBA itself got upgraded in 2010 with the introduction of Visual Basic for Applications 7 in Microsoft Office applications.

Visual Basic for Applications enables building user-defined functions (UDFs), automating processes and accessing Windows API and other low-level functionality through dynamic-link libraries (DLLs). It supersedes and expands on the abilities of earlier application-specific macro programming languages such as Word's WordBasic. It can be used to control many aspects of the host application, including manipulating user interface features, such as menus and toolbars, and working with custom user forms or dialog boxes.

As its name suggests, VBA is closely related to Visual Basic and uses the Visual Basic Runtime Library. However, VBA code normally can only run within a host application, rather than as a standalone program. VBA can, however, control one application from another using OLE Automation. For example, VBA can automatically create a Microsoft Word report from Microsoft Excel data that Excel collects automatically from polled sensors. VBA can use, but not create, ActiveX/COM DLLs, and later versions add support for class modules.VBA is built into most Microsoft Office applications, including Office for Mac OS X (except version 2008), and other Microsoft applications, including Microsoft MapPoint and Microsoft Visio. VBA is also implemented, at least partially, in applications published by companies other than Microsoft, including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, CorelDraw, LibreOffice, Reflection, SolidWorks and WordPerfect.

1-st .To add one more leaf.

Using the Add method to create a new sheet and add it to the collection. The following example adds two chart sheets to the active workbook, placing them after sheet two in the workbook.

Using the macros I added sheets.

2-nd. When pressing the button to create a new leaf.

I created a button in developer.

Than I wrote a macros to the button.

By pressing the button the new sheet opens

3-rd. To rename sheets of the current document.

I rename the leafs using the macros of VBA and when the new window opens I add the name.

At the end we can see that names of sheets are changed.

Conclusion

VBA works by executing macros, step-by-step procedures written in Visual Basic. Programming training may seem daunting, but with a certain patience and with a few examples like the one in this article, many users will find that mastering even small programming skills on VBA gives them the ability to perform actions in Office that they previously thought impossible. Mastering some VBA functions simplifies the development of the following - therefore, the provided capabilities are unlimited.

It is widely recognized that the most common reason for using VBA in Excel is to automate repetitive tasks. For example, let there be a dozen books, each of which contains a dozen sheets, in each of which you need to make certain changes. These changes can be simple, such as applying new formatting to some fixed range of cells, or complex, such as viewing specific statistics for each sheet, selecting the optimal chart for presenting data with these characteristics, and then creating and formatting the desired chart.

In either case, the user may not need to perform these actions manually, at least not more than a few times. Instead, you can automate tasks using VBA to write explicit instructions that must be executed by the Excel application.

But VBA is not just for repetitive tasks. VBA can also be used to create new features in Excel (for example, you can develop new data analysis algorithms and then use the charting capabilities in Excel to display the results) and to perform tasks that integrate Excel with other Office applications such as Microsoft Access 2010. In fact, out of all Office applications, Excel is one of the most commonly used as something similar to a common development platform. In addition to all the obvious tasks concerning lists and accounting, developers use Excel in a number of tasks, from visualization to prototyping programs.

Despite all the advantages of using VBA in Excel 2010, it's important to remember that the best solution to the problem may not apply VBA at all. In Excel and without VBA many functions are built in, so even experienced users are not always familiar with all the features of the program. Before accessing the VBA solution, carefully review the online help and help to ensure there is no easier way.
