ПРЕДИСЛОВИЕ
Данное
учебное пособие предназначено для
студентов технических вузов, получающих
образование по направлениям подготовки
бакалавриата «Информатика и вычислительная
техника», «Программная инженерия» и
«Приборостроение», а также тех студентов,
кто заинтересован в совершенствовании
английского языка в области информационных
технологий. Оно рассчитано на год
обучения (72 аудиторных часа, включая
самостоятельную работу студентов).
Данное пособие создано с целью приобретения
студентами коммуникативной компетенции,
что позволит осуществлять различные
виды речевой деятельности на английском
языке в области информационных технологий
с использованием профессиональной
терминологии и этикетных речевых клише,
а также предлагается совершенствование
навыков чтения текстов по специальности.
Авторы исходят из самых
современных достижений методики при
составлении данного пособия.
Пособие состоит из десяти тематических разделов, охватывающих широкий круг современных IT-тем с использованием аутентичных текстов и визуальных материалов из известных компьютерных журналов, Интернет-ресурсов, веб-страниц, рекламных проспектов, направленных на создание и отработку типичных ситуаций, с которыми современный специалист в области компьютерных технологий может встретиться.
Каждый раздел состоит из четырех блоков Talking Computers, Reading, Vocabulary и Speaking. Первый блок «Talking Computers» направлен на введение новой темы, активизирует мыслительную деятельность студентов и позволяет определить уровень знаний и владения терминологией по заданной тематике. С этой целью предлагается ответить на вопросы, выполнть мини-тесты, произвести опрос группы, проанализировать схемы, рисунки. Все эти задания нацелены на освоение навыков реальной речи на английском языке, понимание речи собеседника, отработку умения задавать вопросы и отвечать на них, выражать согласие или несогласие с представленными высказываниями и давать аргументированный ответ при анализе материала.
Второй блок «Reading» предполагает чтение и обсуждение аутентичных текстов IT, которые обучают не только разным видам чтения, но и позволяют ввести новую терминологию по данной специальности, а также стимулировать и поддержать интерес студентов в области компьютерных технологий.
Третий блок «Vocabulary» состоит из авторских упражнений, обеспечивающих введение, закрепление, повторение и расширение словарного запаса в данной области. В данный блок вошли разнообразные лексические упражнения, в том числе и переводные. Предполагается, что в ходе работы с пособием студенты могут усвоить и активно использовать до 300 лексических единиц, высокочастотных в литературе по IT.
Целью последнего блока «Speaking» является развитие навыков разговора на английском языке, умение делать презентации на заданную тему, готовить проекты, участвовать в дискуссиях и дебатах. В данном разделе представлены творческие задания, ролевые и симуляционные игры, что стимулирует творческую активность и мотивирует студентов к общению на английском языке.
В раздел «Reading Comprehension» вошли оригинальные тексты из современной периодической литературы, которые можно использовать как для индивидуальной, так и для групповой работы. Задания к текстам предусматривают обучение навыкам просмотрового, изучающего и поискового чтения. Данные тексты актуальны, отражают современные реалии мира компьютерных технологий, что вызывает и поддерживает интерес будущих специалистов в сфере информационных технологий.
